The year is officially coming to an end and that's not only because it's the last month of the year. It's because Google is finally wrapping it up with their #YearInSearch lists. Among myriads of searches, there are some interesting revelations for the wandering souls of the world.

The tech giant has helped travellers figure out the hottest tourist destinations of 2016. And while some of the places were expected, the list had some unexpected entries too.

In a nutshell - the travel diaries for 2016 were influenced by tall buildings, metropolitan cities and never-ending beaches. Check out the list below.
