Skytrax, an airline and airport ranking site, has named Singapore's Changi International Airport as the world's best airport for the fifth year in a row based on impressions of nearly 14 million flyers from 105 countries.
In addition to being an exemplary functioning airport, Changi Airport has tonnes of attractions and fun things to do. If you get bored of shopping at the many stores and dining at one of the 80 restaurants, there are art installations, themed gardens, playgrounds, movie theatres, and spas to keep you entertained.
Being home to Singapore Airlines, Silkair, and Tigerair, Changi International ranks as the 16th busiest airport in the world, with approximately 55.4 million visitors each year. Our favourite feature of the airport, however, is the world's tallest airport slide that is located in one of the terminals. At 12 metres high (4 storeys tall), shriek your way down while reaching speeds of up to 6 metres per second. Talk about an awesome way to kill time during a layover.
