Yes, it's that time of the year. With the festive season right around the corner, brands are already releasing their Christmas ads.

Christmas ads tend to be slightly different from regular ads as they don't push product as much - they draw on the heartstrings of the viewer by focusing on the emotions and sentiments. Our Christmas ad pick of 2016 would have to be Burberry (video above). Celebrating the brand's 160th anniversary, their festive season ad is not an ad but a movie trailer for a fictional film about Burberry starring Sienna Miller, Dominic West and Lily West titled The Tale of Thomas Burberry. A whopping £10 million was spent on the mammoth production.

Other Christmas ads we loved are:

House of Fraser

House of Fraser's Christmas ad focuses on the party spirit of the festive season and will make you want to get up and dance.

Boots - the gift of beauty

This touching ad by Boots is a tribute to all the women (paramedics, firefighters, volunteers, nurses or carers) who work on Christmas.

PANDORA

PANDORA showcases how family comes together on Christmas beautifully in this ad.

Barbour

Barbour has updated Raymond Brigg's classic story The Snowman for its nostalgic and traditional Christmas campaign.

Harvey Nichols

Taking the complete opposite approach from Barbour, Harvey Nichol's Christmas ad focuses on nothing to do with traditional Christmas. There is no Santa, reindeer, snow or even the concept of gifting. We won't spoil much more - you have to watch this hilarious ad!

Harrods

Using a story-telling format, the advert follows the journey of a young bear who bravely manages to save Christmas. Adorable doesn't begin to describe it!

Very

Very's ad almost looks like a Pixar movie. This feel-good ad that focuses on the gift of giving will surely warm your heart.

TK Maxx

TK Maxx's Christmas ad is definitely the weirdest one on this list but in a good way. Watch out for the gurgling grandma!
