Hello Meow, Feel for you as I've been there... Have you tried NAN HA (hypoallergenic)? The protein is much easier to digest, might just be easy enough for your boy and isnt more expensive than regular formula. Good luck!

Just wondering-if the baby is head down does it mean one would go into labour sooner than if it was breech? Or, in other words, if baby is breech then later labour? Never heard anything about it being that way but I guess there would be some logic in it... Anyone has any clue? Thanks:)

You are looking in AD, arent you? Dr Marwan at the new Al Noor has been recommended to me by at least 5 ladies. I havent met him (decided to deliver at the Corniche) anc been seeing dr Tank (German) for the last 9 months. I think she is great. I have been going go the Corniche too for the last 2 months (though mainly Fetal Med Clinic rather that the general hospital) and was satisfied too (though you would see a different OB each time, which I dont like). If your situation is not 100% straightforward you would be most likely advised to go to the Corniche anyway, as (I'm sure you know) they are the only real specialists with sophisticated equipment in town. Good luck:)

Hi, I would also recommend a few visits to a chiropractor trained at Webster technique. I have been for two sessions and my uterus seems more relaxed (which is the aim), going for several more. Having moxo in Thursday too. I dont know how many weeks you are but Im told by my OB and chiro that Webster technique should be done as early as 31-2 weeks ideally. Good luck:)

Thank you for taking the time to write Kiwispiers. I saw both the OB and the chiropractor this morning so im a lot clearer on the matter. I was offered an ECV but declined it (being told to bring your hospital bag on the day just in case an emergency section is necessary hardly fills you with confidence:)). I was strngly advised agaist waiting for labour to start if the baby is still breech for exact reasons you described. So it would be Scheduled for 39+1, which Im ok with (thank you for your positive view of a c-section, feel better about it). The chiro told me I should have come earlier but still thinks we can have a good go. So I will be seeing him twice more this week. Must say that my uterus and ligaments felf much better (more relaxed) Immdiately! And the pain during walking dissapeared too, as a bonus. So fingers crossed:)

Sorry, one more thing. I had a few people ask me recently why I simply do not wait till labour starts naturally and then have them check the position of the baby as soon as I get to the hospital and have a section if it's still wrong. That kind of makes sense, doesn't it?? Since babies can turn last minute, do you know why (apart from convenience:)) they advise to do c-sections at 38-9 weeks? Thanks again for any advice

Im seeing my doctor tomorrow and she might offer an ECV, though the idea of it is very unappealing. Unlikely to go for it, especially that I dont really know the doctor that would be doing it and I have heard that they need to be skilled at it. So I dont feel comfortable letting anyone perform a procedure that I see as a little risky (especially because my amnio fluid is lowish). Made an appointmenr for tomorrow with a chiro however and an acupuncturist for moxibustion for Thursday as I see both of those techniques as least invasive..:) Will let you know if there is any result:)

I used Holle when my son was small (available only occasionally, better to bring from abroad). Now I buy jumbo organic oats from Lulu (green packet). Organic foods and cafe tend to have them too, you can sometimes buy them per kilo too (delicious and cheaper)

Oh, sorry, regarding swimming - my gyne tells me to continue keeping away from too much activity (because of lowish fluid) so I havent been even swimming... You know how they tell you to be careful - it's hard to go against they advice as it makes you feel you are putting your baby's health at risk!

Unfortunately I cannot tell for sure but I'm almost certain that the times of maids (at least from the Phillipnnes) being able to switch their tourist visas into work ones is over. We had to fly ours back home, sort all the paperwork (via an agency, apparently no other way!!) and then fly her back. Good luck

How old is your DD? Also, why do you think she does it (not hungry, not keen on the meantballs that time, playful, angry etc)? I would say that thinking about why might help you find an answer about how to deal with it...

Hello Ladies, I would like to start introducing my son to a potty and wondered what type to buy. There are the simple ones and the fancy ones (musical, with lights etc). My gut tells me the simple ones are the best - what are your views? Many thanks!

Hello, Is it possi.ble that he is hungry? Many babies at this age have to be given solids (rice etc) to feel satisfied enough to sleep...

Not sure what exactly you mean by the poop being whiteish but I was told that greenish poop might mean an infection of the digestive system, i.e. bacteria that should not be there (my son had e-coli and it was very green). Is it possible the whiteish stuff is mucus? That would also indicate infection. Howeve if it every now and then it probably is not it (and you would notice other signs like fever)... One thing I can say for sure is that it's worth taking a sample to the lab. Regards

Dear Apricot, I was just googling Open University in Dubai and your posting from last year came up. I have been studying with them for a while and would really appreciate your advice on how to organise it so I can sit my exam in the UAE. Could I contact you directly about this? Many thanks in advance. Regards Anna
