Hi PujaK sorry for the delayed response. Ideally it should only be on one card as your not supposed to claim from both cards for the same illness/pregnancy. But I"m sure most people do that here and it may lead to the policy being void. If it was a non-pregnancy issue im sure it would be fine as long as you're not claiming from both insurers.

It's great fun, especially if you are involved in the thunder parade. However not sure about family day, anytime we've been around it is more adult orientated?.,, It appears to be much bigger this year (hence being at the Autodrome) and I'm led to believe there is much more focus on family entertainment. I have a friend who's involved who mentioned there are going to be some family entertainment and play zones. I'm heading up there as it sounds like a good day out. Hi Kezzler, How was the Bike show for you? We go every year and I was soo happy it was so close to home this time.. but we ended up going on Saturday and it was kind of a disappointment.. it just didn't somehow match up to the times they had it at Media city and DFC... or did we go on the wrong day?

Depends on the insurance Co. as individual policies there generally is a waiting period of 6-12 months before you can claim. So if you take a policy now you can get pregnant only after 6 or 12 months.;) however, under Group company policies generally there is no waiting period.

Hi PujaK Isn't Welcare in your hospital network ? if that's the case your insurance will be valid there you don't need to take an additonal package as Jumeirah_Jane said this limit is sufficient. But also check if you have a cover for the new born. Some insurers add this for 30 days after the baby is born. Also note private medical insurance is not accepted at govt. hospitals.

Hello There and welcome to the UAE. I’ve not had kids myself, but I’m in the insurance industry and can advise you from my experience. Medical insurance is now mandatory in Dubai. This includes maternity cover as well. All companies with more than 100 staff have already got insured. The next stage as per the DHA (dxb Health authority) is for those co’s with less than 100 staff , individual, spouses and domestics with the deadline set as end June 2016. So if your employer has not provided you with maternity now , they will have to provide you with this cover by next June. The level of cover and network of hospitals clinics will all depend on the insurer and package they opt for ,though there are minimum limits set by the DHA. However, I would always advise you to take insurance rather than a package as the package is very limited and may not be sufficient in case of an emergency and sooner the better as for individual policies there generally is a waiting period of 6-12 months before you can claim, depending on the insurer. Hope this helps and all the best

I've ordered from Etsy and as I don't have a private p.o.box, I gave my office P.o.box and had to pick it up from EMPOST. It all depends on the seller if they can courier or post. For other online shopping, I use shop and ship if there's no direct shipping to UAE and the goods are couriered to you .

Hi suecdxb, As Saralou said you can go to A&E or MMI they have an application form you need to complete and the documents required listed . You don't need a salary certificate but you will need to get a NOC from your husband. You can check on their websites too.

Hi Trixie, Sorry can't help you with making one but you can check Pinterest for step by step instructions. Not made one myself but doesn't look that complicated. There are simple ones too.. I threw a baby shower for a friend recently and all my inspiration was from Pinterest. I didn't have a diaper cake instead had a real cake and a little basket with pampers for "Diaper Messages" where all the guests wrote little messages on the diapers like " 10,000 more to go " " Surprise inside" ;) etc for the new mom . All games i downloaded and printed from Etsy and decor I picked some nice stuff buntings/honeycomb tissue balls from creative minds in Barsha. Good Luck !

Sorry this had happened to you, people can be soo inconsiderate! Since it's a rental inform the rental agency too. Even though the accident wasn't your fault as there is no third party present you will need to pay an excess. But check with the rent-a-car agency as they would tell you the exact process. At the time of contract some agencies offer a collision damage waiver (CDW ) option where you pay a certain amount like Aed.25 per day so you don't have to pay the excess or you opt to pay the full excess when you do have an accident.

Hitch, now the RTA charges you if you are renewing your registration after the registration has expired even though the insurance is still valid. It's something quite small though like aed.5 per week/Aed.20 per month and its just included on your registration receipt. I think thats what your insurance co. may have meant when they said there is no grace period. As Kitten67 mentioned if you have the time just to do it through dubizzle. You can negotiate for a better price.

Was all set to book a surprise couples massage for our anniversary at Talise Madinat Jumeirah but just found out they have a strict same-gender masseuse policy which my DH is not comfortable with. I have checked with Anantara /Waldorf /sofitel all have the same policy. I know Amara at the Park Hyatt doesn't have this policy but since we've been before would like to try some where different. I have Shuiqi at Atlantis short listed any other suggestions much appreciated. My husband took me to Talise spa for a couple massage last year and we both had female therapist. So, that is strange, Dessert palm do one and they allow female masseurs. Kempski on the palm also do. Shangri la on sheikh zayed road do too. As you can tell, we do lots of couple massages  If you going during the week make sure you check out week day discounts. Shangri la was my favourite, they therapist are very good and if you have a spa tx you can use the pool which has nice food and pool bar I really wanted to try Talise :( During the week is not an option for me unfortunately but Thanks Rosie will check the others.

If you have any Platinum Master card or Visa Platinum or infinite (irrespective of the issuing bank) issued in the Gulf you get lounge access. I've used FGB for lounges access in Dubai and even SCB provides you lounge access at other international airports too.

Every country has its laws and customs that are to be respected. What is strange for you or me may be the norm for someone else. Some of the laws listed below are also in effect in the west e.g: Unmarried couple who live together and “lewdly associate” with one another may face up to a year in prison - west Virgina Milan requires that citizens must smile at all times, or face a fine In Florida, it is illegal to pass wind in a public place after 6pm on Thursdays In England, it is illegal to die in the Houses of Parliament In Oklahoma, it is against the law to have a sleeping donkey in your bathtub after 7pm Great if your donkey is awake and just enjoying a bit of relaxation time. Not so good if it has snoozed off in a lava of bubbles. In Canada, by law, one out of every five songs on the radio must be sung by a Canadian Great for Justin Bieber fans, not so great for the sane. Part of the CRTC (Canadian Radio and Television Commission) that for both types of programming there has to be at least a fifth by Canadian performers. It is forbidden to be fat in Japan In the country that brought us sumo wrestling In Brazil it is rude to use the a-ok sign by touching your thumb and pointer finger together. and the list goes on...... OMG janatks Hilarious!!!!:lol::lol:

Hi we've been in Motor City for the past 6 years and absolutely love it! we have never been bothered by the noise. Only once a year as mentioned they have a 24hr race which obviously goes on for 24 hours and other times its generally during winter season that the main races are on. Once your balcony door is closed you cant hear it at all . Its a nice community with lots of green spaces very child & pet friendly. Monthly fun fairs and lots of retails plus they are opening a new mall and hotel too. One plus side is if you have a 2 BR you get two parking spaces and 2 HUGE basement storage rooms(only for Uptown appts) . Not many other developments provide this option. Plus its only 15 minutes to MOE/MARINA/JLT etc...

Doubt there's any deal on at the moment .But the hotel its self used to have special promo deals during the summer months. The entertainer has vouchers for one of the restaurants and the body book has vouchers for massages I guess. The rainforest Spa used to charge for non-hotel guests though not sure if this is still the case.

If you have a skywards card from emirates you can just use that as a an e-gate card without the need for carrying a separate card, its free of charge. and it works at all terminals. But you need to visit the immigration counters/DNATA as the other posters had mentioned to get it activated.

Loved Italy and Tuscany ! Florence we stayed at a B&B called La Residenza Dell"orafo , nothing fancy but very convenient just opposite the train station and walking distance to the Duomo. Tuscany is so vast you will have to decide on what sort of area you prefer to base yourself as you will have to drive around. Chianti is the wine region, I liked cortona and also montepulciano but decided on Pienza which in my opinion is a good base to explore all these little villages and the most scenic. It's in the Val'd'orcia which is a UNESCO heritage site and you will find the typical rolling hills and cyprus trees. We stayed at this amazing B&B Pietrimonti Estate , they only do home made breakfast and will recommend the most amazing places to eat..they also have a outdoor hot tub and jacuzzi if you visit during summer :) I can't wait to go back! Enjoy your holiday !:)

There is no such RTA rule, it just depends on the insurance company. Most Local insurers will give comprehensive cover upto 10years and there after offer Third Party. Multinational companies will continue to give comprehensive if you have been with them for some time and premiums will be high. check with your broker there are local insurers who still cover 2003/2004 model cars for Comprehensive.

As a resident of Motor City it's really annoying when that lane is blocked by parked cars.... there's quite a lot of parking really- the underground car park has 2 levels for Spinneys parking, there's the car park round the back and there's also proper parking spaces on the roads both sides and there are pedestrian crossings controlled by traffic lights. Guess it looks like it's ok to park there if others are there already and you don't realise but I see the police nearly every day ticketing all the cars there... must be making a fortune. As Licorice said Spinneys has two levels of parking , I dont even bother going to the ground level as its always full. Before you enter the main Ground level covered car parking theres a small exit to your right going down to the basement. I always park there and take the lift upto the Ground which is just right next to spinneys. Unless its a marked space, parking is not allowed. I too got fined some time go for parking on the otherside of the road from spinneys facing the racetrack, so lesson learnt! though at that time it was just Aed.200.

thanks very much. we're now deciding between moulin rouge (because its a dinner/show and easier to book from abroad) and dinner in the eiffel tower. appreciate your feedback :) Hi..check viator.com I was going through their website for our holidays and they do have a day tour with the Eiffel Tower/seine cruise and the moulin rouge. With an option of dinner at Eiffel or on the cruise I think. They also have a pick up and drop service and also champagne at Moulin. I think there was a post by someone on EW who had been on it as well.

Believe it or not, I have been there. We went to one in Green Community, lots of cars most Mitsubishi... DH did not like any. He contacted the Al Futtain yesterday because some cars in the website seemed nice, but you have to schedule an appointment, as the cars can be in any of their sites. Today I told DH, you are on your own... but I still have veto power!!! He is all excited now, let's see if now that he has freedom he decides. Hi Brazilianindubai... Join the club! I've been going through this same car dilemma issue for the past 5 months! I'm planning on upgrading my car and my DH may also drive. I want a SUV he wants a sedan. I have been to almost all the showrooms twice!! I started with the Ford Edge sport to pricey for a Ford then came down to the new escape- love the options like auto park/ panoramic roof /reverse cam etc.. I'm a sucker for these :( then DH suggested we look at an E class coupe- not family friendly.Yesterday went Audi loved the A5 sportback and Q5 but no reverse camera! Isn't that like a standard now in all cars!? Anyway booked a test drive next week may and now he tells me he wants to check out some new infinity!!, arrgghhhh !! I don't hv much advice for you but maybe book a test drive and see if you are comfortable in the car/ the handling etc..personally I love the sports cars looks amazzing but it felt a bit low for me..anyway..hope you'll have much better luck than me :)

Car insurance rates are now in the range of 2.5% to 3.5% rates of 4% and above are generally if is a new or underage driver or someone with previous claims. Approach a broker so they can give you AXA plus other options as well. But always check the covers in addition the premium cause some insurers specially the local ones don't cover rain/ flood damage/off road accidents and don't provide rent - a car facility in case of an accident.

Had a similar problem with a MAF gift card on the weekend..I checked with the customer service and they said there's nothing that can be done..so had to use it for stuff I didn't want :( anyway when I checked the website later on realised that there was an option to extend the validity for a small fee! Which the guys in the mall customer service never mentioned.so best check the website FAQs in any case .
