Thanks for responding! Yes am happy to do that - but I can't give her a glowing reference either nor would I want to warn anyone off her (she's not that bad!) so that's my dilemma. And I feel terrible to send her back home jobless. Hate the extra burden of this!

poor guy seems scarred from last night - keeps saying no blanket only sleeping bag. I have managed to find a larger sized sleeping bag - but is that dangerous? issue with the AC is - we have closed off most of his vents - but can't do much else as its one control for all of upstairs - think i will look at those onsies and slowly introduce thinner blanket at same time...

Thanks for all your responses ladies - I tried the transition from sleeping bag to duvet whilst still in cot last night - disaster - every time we went in he was uncovered and cold ! He's woken up saying no blanket only sleeping bag! Think I need to find him either a onesie or those duvet grips - anyone have any idea where I can find either in dubai ?

help - I'm having issues finding a home for my dog over christmas :( i thought i had confirmed positive paws - and now they are not sure he is a good fit for their kennel they tell me he will need another assessment before they decide if he can stay! (he got quite barky when they put him near another dog) he's stayed at woof/urban tails a few times with no issues.... so now I'm trying to think of plan b incase he fails his next assessment - anyone stayed at k9 central or posh paws? thoughts please?

My son is born a few days before the school cut off and we haven't got in to any schools yet. we just got our first rejection and i just attended another assessment with him today and i feel he definitely didn't give his best performance! There were also children in that assessment who are almost a year older than him! now i know the school is meant to take all ages - but i don't know how choose him over a child who is answering all questions etc. anyways - i would love to keep him back a year so he takes FS1 a year later rather than be held back once he's started school. how does that work? believe i need khda permission?

thanks ladies. Is positive paws same as posh paws? which used to be near sharjah? didn't have a great experience with them one year long time ago. i live in um sequim izzy - will your pet sitter actually take the dog or visit my home? i don't think i want him here on his own - he will be too lonely!

Thanks so much for your responses ladies. Yes believe one of the best ways is to bring them via malaysia/hongkong/singapore etc - I've had it work for one friend and not for another. does anyone know if its an option to get them an office visa? can they leave manila then? i would get another nationality - but my nanny is from philippines and I've had previously had 2 different nationalities in my house and it was a war zone! i defo don't want to go down that road again - this way they can make the same foods watch the same channels et etc in their free time and at least share a room with a possible friend......

6 months and yes i did - but i wonder if i loved it because i knew it was short term. my biggest fear is one of financial responsibility long term - and i keep reading all these posts of people regretting quitting etc .. end of the day - i think i am definitely going to take the plunge - i just need a small push :D

Uff so many Daza...financial predominately. i work for a great company and do well....so does my husband and we do have some savings etc - but i guess I'm just terrified of the future - things going wrong etc, not being able to give our child/future kids everything....recessions etc Losing my identity....regretting it after a few months....etc etc

my DS started nursery/daycare at around 7-8 months for a couple of full days a week and we slowly built on that. Was fantastic exposure for him - he loved it and its so much fun being around other kids - and all the different activities. They are sadly alot more creative than i am with messy play and arts and crafts etc ! The upside was the daycare was next door to my office and i would sneak in all the time for a cuddle! The downside was of course they get alot more sick than being at home - but now hes two - he really brings anything home anymore. He was at hummingbird - which i fully recommend!
