thanks ladies! yes unfortunately im not a fan off pre cooked chicken. would rather make my own. so basically cook a chicken and then cut it up for the salad. but was curious which was the juiciest way without drying it out? baking/panfrying or boiling? im generally terrible at cooking chicken breasts - always come out dry - tend to bbq legs Thank you!

lolacat - if i had had the chance to speak to her believe me i would - i called/smsed/whatsapped her 2 numbers and they are off. My husband found her on fb and sent her a msg saying we were worried and if she is ok and she has blocked him/deleted herself from FB. As for putting up with people who are not up to your expectations - well, when you have paid the fortune of agency and their visa - and trained them up (as much as possible) its sadly a case of better the devil you know. Thats not to mention the guilt you feel cutting of their lifeline. In fairness, she was not a terrible maid - but if this was a few/open employement where she didnt have to be shipped back she defo would have been served her P45 ages ago - so shes done me a favour.

yes i mean i think shes incredibly stupid for leaving - she had a pretty good set up with us- but of course, the grass is always greener! shes just come back from a holiday with us where all she did was watch utube/skype and take selfies on the beach! Totally forgotten her - changed the locks and even if she showed up at my door today - i would not let her in - i certainly dont wish her any harm - but i also wont be praying for her! Shes left me totally in the lurch with work and my LO not to mention our dog!

thats what i dont understand - i have her passport! and she has 3 kids back home! the only thing i can think of is potentially a man involved....some say that she may have more than one passport - but again, she doesnt have a visa or a stamp on that so how does that help?

thanks ladies - any other ideas? i do like cheesecake but i think way too crowded and tough for a bday of around 20 people (adults and kids) not looking to do any other activity apart from lunch - just somewhere where the kids will enjoy and an opportunity to have somewhere to blow out some candles...too hot for the garden and i can't fit that many people in my house!!! no need for animal theme although that was a bonus!

thank you! btw ive been researching about farmed and its not really to do with mercury - its what they get fed/given whilst they are farmed - think the same as a battery hen - antiboitics and other stuff :( For those that buy Sherri - is it nice on the bbq? not too many bones? And do you use foil or just straight on?

ladies! i bought the most yummy bread from sweet connection yesterday in DIFC (also one in mercato) so soft and yummy - now who knows how much sugar etc they put in - but at least it was a) corn free and b) i recognised most of the ingredients. Will try the gluten free supermarket next !

yep i called jones this morning before i sent out this note - not only does it have soy flour, but it also has corn oil! so much worse than gluten i think! Have just bought one from sweet connection which seems quite nice! Chocobella - where can i get paleo bread? im a firm believer in paleo - but am a little more lax on my LO which i try and be a bit more GF with

thanks Daza - will try the extremely expensive gluten free supermakret ones :) unfortunately they refuse to say their full ingredients - but i suppose if they are corn etc free they should be ok. the biggest issue im finding with GF these days is the amount of other terrible stuff they put in to substitute it! Next step after that will be to invest in a bread maker or thermonix !

if there is such a thing. The organics store one is hard as a rock and some of the others just taste like they are made out of sugar. Anyone recommend anything thats soft enough for my toddler and relatively nutritious or at least harmless :)

It really depends how much baggage allowance you have and what you can be bothered to trek back. I was lucky enough to fly a few times during my pregnancy to london for work and so i had a great baggage allowance. I therefore brought EVERYTHING - the car seat and isofix i saved about 350aed on both (not really life changing, but if its easy to do then why not!) i also bought the bugaboo in london. Things that made a huge difference were things like the beaba cooker which u wont use for a few months - but huge price difference. CALPOL! Dont forget the calpol. Ashton Parsons teething stuff i always get tonnes of. Then again as the below mentioned, any clothes, muslins etc. I even brought back my cot mattress - saved a good 500aed or so on that! and a travel cot! the best part about buying in london also - is how amazing online shopping was - the ability to order everything straight to my house - so helpful when your at the end/just given birth!

Loooool Chillichai thank you for making me chuckle! I honestly posted this thread in panic as I wasn't sure if there was an official protocol in handling this stuff - and I'm half I posted as I didn't even know (yes stupid) that a shot was needed! I have already called a behaviourist and will arrange for a full household training ASAP and make a decision based on that. That's all for your advice

Many thanks for your responses. We also use a version of the BW method and even though we have always pandered to his need to go out - he would never make a mess inside if he was home alone. I was concerned he had a virus but his poop is exactly the same as usual - not softer etc.... i think we will just take him out alot more frequently and monitor him at home alot more for the next few days - thank you!

Thank you for your great advice ladies. I particularly liked the ``ignoring the accident'' as he is probably feeling a little neglected with the house move hecticness (massively regret not putting him in a hotel for the 3 days the move was happening :( as he didnt cope very well with that at all) and with me being a working mum - hes not getting the love he was always used to :( Fingers crossed hes gets settled and happy soon.

yes actually Fairydust you are absolutely right - we did pander to him as it was too easy. And agree need to take it step by step. Hows the best way to do that :) any recommendations? Take him out every 2 hrs to start? and then increase? the only weird thing in this is that he has started doing it now 2 weeks on - but agree i think its all new house related....

HI there - ive had a pool done by pools by design and one done by silver fox. There is no comparison between the two. Silver fox was far superior in service, product, professionalism - you name it. I am perhaps not one to judge - as i ripped out the pool i had done by pools by design and got silver fox in to get a new one put in. The after service we had by PBD was just rubbish - specially when we encountered problems in our pool. Again, just my experience, many here will probably sing their praises and thats prbably because they never encountered any issues....
