8 Perfect Spots to Catch the Sunset in Singapore

There’s no shortage of places to catch the perfect sunset in Singapore. However, there are some places so picturesque, they’re hard to beat.

Here are some of our favourite spots where you can get that perfect Instagram photo!

1. One Altitude

 

With a viewing gallery, a rooftop bar, a restaurant, a club and a café, this place has it all and it boasts phenomenal views. The rooftop bar, which is located on the 63rd floor, is actually the highest al fresco bar in the world. The cover charge is S$18 per person.

Opening hours: Sun-Tues 6pm-2am, Wednes-Thurs 6pm-3am, Fri-Sat 6pm-4am.

2. Ion Sky

 

This is simply an observation deck with sky-high 360-degree views of Singapore. There’s a BEHOLDTIM telescope, which allows you to see things in both day and night view regardless of current conditions, to enhance your experience.

The glass panels also have notes on them to let you know what you’re looking at. The best part? It's free! If you get hungry or crave a drink, you can just go down to the Salt Grill and Sky Bar right under.  

Opening hours: Daily 3pm-6pm

3. New Asia Bar

Taking up the 71st and 72nd levels of Swissotel The Stamford, this is the highest place to watch the sunset from while sipping on some refreshing drinks. The floor slants at 20 degrees to give off a vertigo effect, so don't worry if you start feeling whoozy!  

Opening hours: Tues 7pm-1am, Wednes-Thurs 7pm-2am, Fri-Sat 7pm-3am, Sun 2pm-1am and closed on Mondays.

4. Marina Bay Sands Skypark

If you prefer to relax in the pool or Jacuzzi as you watch the sunset, there’s no better place than this one. The infinity pool is famous around the world and you’re bound to see everyone taking photos.

If you only want to check out the view, tickets are available from the Marina Bay Sands website for S$23.

Opening hours: Mon-Thurs 9:30am-10pm; Fri-Sun 9:30am-11pm.

5. Pinnacle at Duxton

If you’re looking to save, this rooftop garden is the perfect place to do so. It’s best to go off-peak hours as weekends tend to get very crowded and they have a maximum number of 200 people allowed per day.

There is a S$5 entrance fee which can also be paid with your EZ-Link or Cepas card.

Opening hours: Daily 9am-9pm.

6. Esplanade Rooftop

A great option if you’re looking for a free spot. Just because you’re not dishing out money, doesn’t mean it’s not picture-worthy. It’s centrally located and is a great choice to enjoy the sunset. It does get crowded as there’s also bar there.

Opening hours: Mon-Sun 11am-2am.

7. Helix Bridge

This bridge is a popular spot among photographers. With the Singapore River, the city skyline and amazing backdrop of the sky, you definitely won’t be disappointed.

8. Changi Point Coastal Walk

If you find yourself in Changi Village, this boardwalk is absolutely magical. It’s a 2km-long boardwalk at the western end of Changi Point and it stretches through flora and fauna and Changi Beach.
