I'm in Diamond 2 at the mo, it's actually pretty good even though my current flat has a partial SZR view, as well as partial sea. Also a nice pool and gym.

Whenever we fly from here to the states, we tend to stopover in Chicago, sleep one night then fly/drive onto our main destination, or if it's directly to the main destination and we arrive during the day I try to wait until early evening and then sleep, that seems to help me. I wake up at a proper time the next morning fresh as a daisy. Hope that helps.

Dr. Ghulam Mustafa 971-4-2588933 highly recommend him, he's been working on my teeth (which has been a huge job) lots of crowns and such and it's quite a bit less. He gave DH a couple fillings as well for a very decent price. Where does he have his office? He's in Balrasheed Towers, Damascus Street in the Al Qusais area. You'll know you're in the right area when you see the building with the Billiard hall, his office building is right next to it. He does his best to get you in and get the treatment done in a timely manner. Odds are he won't make you take multiple appointments etc. Thanks! :) You're welcome :)

Buy a green leotard and tights and blow up some green balloons and adhere them to the front. Snow peas! :) or put the green balloons all over, ta-dah! A bunch of grapes :) also possible in purple :P poor kid will end up looking like piles hmm true... perhaps green clothes, with a sort of cardboard crown in green cut around at the top, a celery stalk.

Some fish are just not meant to live long. Often they sell "feeder fish" (fish bred specifically to feed other fish) as pets and they never last long. Or, they may be sick or old already from the pet shop. I had a beta fish that lasted for years, they were indestructible compared to goldfish. They're also prettier, (the males) but since territorial you can only have 1 per tank. They also need a bubbler so slightly more maintenance but not much really. I second you on the betas, I've kept them many times and they tend to be pretty hardy. Dropped one while trying to transfer to the new tank, and it was fine. They're easier than goldfish by a longshot

I have recently ( since being introduced to it while in Dubai) started making french toast with Date Sauce instead of syrup and it is outstanding. Just thought I would share our new Family creation. that DOES sound good. What kind of date sauce is it? like date syrup?

is there a way to rescue or fix it if it does get too runny? It will not get runny if you going to add it by the table spoon as required. But worse case scenario add more leaves to increase the quantity to balance the liquid. If you are making the chutney for the sandwich add a little more coconut a few more spirgs of the herbs. Hope you get what I mean Gotcha :) thanks! it sounds like a great recipe.

Keeping up with the Kardashians mixed in with Amazing Race, Fear Factor and Survivor.... that might be funny, and the Osbourns thrown in there as competitors even though their show's been gone for ages.

Although I loved both the book and the film, I thought A Thousand Splendid Suns was even better. I can't wait for the movie adaptation of that book to come out. Amen to that Sandy! A Thousand Splendid Suns made me cry buckets, and I've got one of my sisters to read it. I hope they do a good adaptation to it (if they do). The film adaptation to the Kite Runner was good. I wonder if Khaled Hosseini has anymore books in the works. Such a talented writer.

It's horrible that they kept silent about it, though not all that surprising. It's scary sometimes to think what governments are keeping secret.

While I was first considering it, I sort of talked here and there with my closest family members and friends to see how they warmed to it. When I finally made it here to Dubai, after I'd converted, I told those closest to me, my mom, sisters, friends etc. Those who were particularly self-righteous in their own faiths balked at first. Some I haven't spoken to since, but for the most part my family and friends, the ones who really mattered the most to me didn't behave any differently towards me, aside from asking questions here and there. Since then I've never been more at peace with my own life and with everyone around me. I was even blessed with a marvelously sweet DH as well who does all he can to help me continue learning.

I'm sure like most airlines it has it's good and bad points. I just really don't like flying lol take-offs, landings, and turbulence always make me the most nervous... why can't we just teleport already? Nighttime Panadol and a glass of wine. It's just like teleporting! that might do it aside from the wine though. I'm never able to sleep much during a flight or when traveling in general. No wine? Then take three, same effect. sounds like an idea! I'm going to be snoring louder than DH! :D but with my mouth closed, cause that's more lady-like...:cool::cool:

Hmm... not sure - I think it is worth to ask the denstist. My temp. bridge fell when I was away and it really did not bother me one bit. I did stuck it back and it was fine (hmm.. embarrassing yes - as I was dating my now DH at the time ;)). Did not use any 'glue' etc. It may be frustrating to wait for your permanent one, but well worth it :) edited by JoannaS on 25/01/2012 So far the temp is just really tough to get used to but it's feeling pretty worth it already :) I'm just a bit nervous as I'll be travelling in about a week so I hope that the temporary bridges hold up and don't fall out. Hopefully the sealant used on mine is good and strong :)

Hi crazyleochic, Yes. Temporary bridge can fall out, but you just put it back when it belongs ;)) It did happen to me - not a biggie. HTH if it happens and I can't get to the dentist will say... denture adhesive help keep it in place for a time? Thanks a ton for your reply Joanna! edited by crazyleochic on 25/01/2012

a temporary dental bridge before (whilst waiting for the permanent ones)? I've just got mine, and I'm so paranoid about eating and drinking that the bridges will end up falling out. Like when I drink something cold it feels like the top front one is pulling somehow. Is that normal?

My sister is using the Potty Scotty method, basically it's a doll that comes with a potty of it's own and the toddler teaches 'Scotty' to go potty and in turn learns it themselves, I believe they also have a girl version of it too. It's been effective for my nephew so far.

They're just animals. I get that some people find certain animals nasty, but I'm just not one of them. Sorry, not a fan of the screaming girl syndrome at any vaguely weird beastie. Although sea snakes are more venomous than land snakes, any bites are rarely fatal as their fangs aren't long enough to inject much and it's easily treated with anti-venom. They bite to immobalize prey, not for defensive puposes. They are actually extremely beautiful animals, but then I happen to like most snakes. edited by Chocs01 on 05/11/2011 I'm with you on that Chocs :) I think all animals have a unique appeal (even the 'icky' rats at times) and @Pom technically the rat is in it's environment, since they seem to dwell wherever there's food, though they are particularly dirty creatures in the wild of course though I have no real fear of mice or rats as I've kept both as pets before but of course don't want any wild ones in the house etc.

cinnamon is helpful in lowering blood sugar. My DH was found to be diabetic earlier this year and so I've been tweaking his diet as much as possible. Choose whole grains, oranges and bananas are particularly high in sugar so you'll want to limit those, just try to limit things that are particularly high in sugar and eat healthy.
