[email protected] email this guy :) he's my DH's cousin and a pretty good agent. We tend to go with him pretty frequently and he finds us pretty good deals.

I read the article, but didn't have it in me to watch the video. I don't know how anyone could just stand by, how horribly sad for the little one, bless her heart.

I saw pumpkins at Waitrose in Marina Mall! Also, let them build a blanket fort and they can have fun and play board games in it etc

How horrible :( I wish someone would trap one of these sickos and mete out the same torture on them. The poor cat, my prayers go out to him. It's so scary to let ones cat out and about when people like that are around.

the very first second we met when I stepped out of DXB and saw him waiting for me, I knew that the crazy move I'd made was the right one. I guess I felt that Allah was steering me where He meant me to be :P

no, but luckily my DH wouldn't walk around like that in front of a maid. He might wear normal shorts that he uses when he goes for excersize or swim shorts but that's about it.

It might be a good idea to craft some decorations yourself if you've got the time to. Making ghosts and say paper spiders isn't too hard to do, and you could get colored construction paper to make autumn leaves etc

It's Rugby..........not a tea party! All about male self confidence and (barely) legalised aggression. We (Scots) won the Grand Slam in 1990 with Flower of Scotland - growled, not sung by a choir.....and breaking with all tradition, instead of the usual run onto the pitch.......a slow menacing walk. REALLY upset the English press, brings a tear to my eye even now! The Scots can be intimidating :) I've seen a clip of that, that was fab for sure! Makes me very proud of my heritage!

it should be fine, just call the airline and ask if they have a baggage agreement with the connecting airline. Like Last year we traveled from Salt Lake City to Chicago via Delta, then Chicago to here via Etihad and the Delta rep just made sure they had a luggage agreement with Etihad and it was all good.

I did that in our first apartment here as it was a small guest house in a villa and my DH was too shy to have his unmentionables drying out for the neighbors to see. I hated it as it took forever for things to dry in the home. Now in a proper apartment I dry things either in the dryer or on the balcony

Happy Birthday Princess! Don't feel bad, my DH ran out of petrol twice last week :P once in Satwa and again on the Dubai Lahbab road (luckily right as he was just to the petrol pump). Go indulge in chocolate :) that makes everything all better! Godiva has some new fondants/truffles. Saw them through their shop window at Dubai Mall. I had to be dragged away so I wouldn't drool all over the place :$ They will make a good birthday treat! people here really are thoughtless sometimes. DH's back windshield got smashed yesterday evening. He was parked in JLT showing an apartment and he came back to a bottle smashed through the back window :( maybe thrown off a balcony or something, today he had to put off all of his appointments to go get it fixed poor guy hardly slept last night as he was so stressed.

I had a tumble just last March I think, one of the days that it had rained, and I was running to the Al Maya in the Marina which is close to home for a thing of water (DH had been to lazy to bring it even though I'd reminded him twice) I was just stepping off the bottom step (and wearing flip flops) and fell flat on my ass! I was so relieved that it was dark and nobody was there cause it would have been so embarrassing (though I think it did a number on my back :( it still hurts here and there) when I'd got home DH asked why I'd still gone all the way to the store after I'd fallen, and I had to remind him because we were out of water lol.

It didn't really take me long, but I've moved around almost constantly since I was very young so I can settle quite easily anywhere, though I haven't really made any close friends, I've been here the last 3 years. Meeting new people is a bit daunting. I'm too chicken to make it out to the EW coffee mornings even though they're withing walking distance of where I live lol.

@DubaiCat the funny thing apparently is the cheaper tests (at least the ones in the U.S.) are often actually more accurate, they're more sensitive to the horomone in the wee! Last time i'd gotten a 4 dollar one from wal-mart and was only a day or two late and it came up positive, but ended up miscarrying after flying back to Dubai :(

that's true, the trouble is getting DH to pay that much. He can be a bit thrifty at times. T'will be a lot more expensive if you have a Junior on the way! I'm hoping that we do have one on the way! I've had my fingers crossed for the last few days.

Park City Utah! seriously goregous, and only about 20 minuets from Salt Lake City (yes I am plugging my home state lol) but seriously, best snow on earth! There's a lot to do, they even have the alpine slide thing from the 2002 Winter Olympics and you can go down.

there's a restaurant in or around Karama area called Seoul Garden. My DH and I went with his former boss and his family who are from Korea. It was really good. 04 337 7876 It's in Karama opposite the Baby Shop that's there. edited by crazyleochic on 17/09/2011
