chinese pavilion do a good job. Also you could get a Kebab guy on a bike. Sounds bad but actually really good. You get a guy come with a big kebab that he cooks at your house and supplies all the salads etc - very reasonable!!!

I have not tried it this month but did 2 months ago and it was great. Good atmosphere and great food - if it is a 2 for 1 will be asking around as would 100% recommend for that price. When did this become available?

friends have had some really bad experiences with cobone - not being able to book dates when you want etc. Best ones are Arabian Adventures, Alpha Tours, Arabian Adventures, Desert Rangers - used all these in my time. Becareful of ones you have not heard of as they can be dodgy!!

same same and same. Fine Dining looks awesome this year - even got mine and DH's FAV FAV restaurant in Pai Thai at the madinat, and you can use the wine voucher there as well. Family is also good as well!! not used the Travel yet but having a look at the website and speaking to friends there are hotels in the UAE, Maldives, Mauritous and also 3 vouchers for each hotel!! might just have to try that as well. There is also Essential Plus - anyone know what that is?

Allied Pickfords, Crown Relocation or MoveOne. The first 2 have a huge global network so they can be trusted. A little more expensive but worth it for peace of mind

we went ot bab al shams again last weekend using their monthly 2 for 1 offer. It is such a great place to go becasue yes it is hot but there is no humidity. We had a room that cost us 1050 AED incl taxes (or something like that) and got the 2nd night for free. Spent both days in the pool with another 10 people who where also using the offer. Had great fun and are planning to go again in September with a load of friends!!!

I have started using Magnesium tablets. They are naturally forming and take 30 mins before you go to sleep. Helps put me out and also does not give any of the horrible side effects like bad dreams as the other more damaging tablets - hope that helps.

We have just come back from the Cosmopolitan. Brand new and right next to the Balagio. Only hotel on the strip with balcony's overlooking the strip. Fantastic food and beverage, great club, fantastic pool over looking the strip again with live music over the weekends. Maybe go to a show - O or le reve was amazing and not that expensive. Or go and see Holly!!! :-)

We stayed at the Banyon Tree - make sure if you can go for the bigger Villas as the pools are bigger. If you have to stay at the weekend then there are a 2 for 1 in the Entetainer Travel book which can be used then. Rates are pretty good at the moment. Ziggy Bay is also awesome.

Macys is great, so is Bloomingdales. Dont forget when you go to take your passport as you get a special visitors card and you get I think 20% discount. Then there are plenty of roads around there with shops as well. although this depends on what you are looking for. I spent 8 hours in Macys one year - amazing day as it was in the sales as well and chlothes / shoes are so much cheaper than here!!! Have fun

very sad really- even their head office near their Jumeirah centre is shut as well. I think the stores are looking for flagship stores such as Bookworld in Dubai Mall plus the likes of Carrefour and Geant buy in bulk so can offer cheaper books and a bigger range. I dont think that it is the on line stuff that is hurting them just the fact they had poor locations and rents are too high for them.

pomegranate - we always saved off the best available rate not the listed rate. The Banyan tree we saved over 3000 AED in the high season as we stayed 2 nights and only paid for 1. We went to the maldives and went for 10 days and saved 20% each night plus breaky was included os for us been well worth it.

depends the food you like. My DH prefers asian food so Saffron is miles better. Plus the choice is that much bigger. For us Saffron wins but have eaten and both and they are both great.

went at the weekend - I think half of Dubai was there. It has just opened so having a few teathing problems with service. The things you can buy to take away look great although quite expensive. Our food was good but not the amazing place my friends in Abu Dhabi had been raving about for ages - More and Limetree will give it a run for its money still.

we have used it 3 times this year (Travel) Been to Bab al Shams through their website, plus Fairmont (with 4 other couples who used their books) ,Banyan Tree and the Maldives for a week- overall probably saved 7,000 AED which is fantastic for just 3 times. not for everyone but it has really worked for us so far - agree though in terms of checking it out first. I am sure next year will have plenty more hotels in there as well

I know this does not help for now but someone has launched a Teens club for after Summer. Received the E Mail today. Some kind of launch event in September. Not that I have teenage kids but will pass it round to my friends that do as there is not an aweful lot for them to do out of school -= this seems like a good idea. Called Teens Club culture - www.teensclubculture.ae.

I cant get hold of DH who booked it but i know if always off their Best Available Rate at the time so you get the best price for 1 room and then the next night is free. The great thing, although it is a little hot, you can also use a voucher for the arabic buffet night which is excellant - thats from their Fine dining book

we went with my DH and 10 month old to the Maldives. 3 hour flights and chose a resort that was a 25 min speed board ride. 6 nights and it was great. Staff where amazing with the little one and totally chilled plus only a short hop back home. It was a universal resorts property called velassaru.

our best freidns just went to Jordan - skipped Amman and went to the Marriot on the dead sea - apparently it was amazing. They flew with Fly Dubai, used an Entertainer Travel Buy 1 night get 1 night for free and then a 10% discount on the 3rd night and it cost in total 3000 AED. They said the hotel was amazing and yes it is hot but there is no humidity at the moment plus the Dead Sea is meant to be really really weird!!! If you are there for 4 days make sure you head to Petra - meant to be amazing.

some great hotels in Cyprus although August is an expensive month as it is the UK Summer holidays. The Aphrodites Hotel (think it is an intercon) is meant to be an amazing hotel. I have stayed at le Meridian in limassol and it was great. We where going to go in July but got a price of around 20k AED for 6 nights incl flights with Etihad Holidays - this was for a basic room. Decided to go to Oman instead. Maldives is rainy season although will still be nice and warm. No idea about the other 2 sorry.

Afraid not egg. We stayed in Paphos and spent a few days in Limassol so it was great for us, your right though there isn’t much in Protaras. The first fine dining restaurant is there which looks really nice and there is a Scuba Diving course which could be good. No mozzie’s whatsoever, not sure what it will be like on the other side of the island though? Sorry but if you are going to the other places still worth a look at the book though.

couple of choices - Cyprus will be great however VERY expensive in that time - UK summer holiday. We just looked and we where looking at over 2500 AED a night at a normal 4-5 star hotel in limasol. What about a 4 day trip to Jordan? The Marriot next to the dead sea is a fantastic resort (the dead sea is soooo unreal but very cool) and you can also go to Petra which is amazing. Fly with Emirates, Royal Jordanian or even Fly Dubai.

have a great trip when you go. Just been and although did not do that Drive there is some stunning scenery and it was great to be out of the intense Dubai heat for a while. also used the new Entertainer Cyprus book - saved me a good few hundred Euro - just wish they can put free drinks in the Dubai book like they do in this one!!!
