I'm not sure what size they go up to but for support and comfort, cannot recommend highly enough the wonderbra strapless bras (I have them in an F cup and they hold everything in place!). They are the ones with the 'hands' inside if you know what I mean... amazing bras! I got mine in the UK but Debenhams should stock them... definitely give them a try!

We keep a piggy bank upstairs and transfer it every month to a pot downstairs to pay the water delivery man :) most of the time we hardly even notice that we're paying for water :)

Hi Emily, all Dyson spare parts can be ordered through Jumbo electronics here in Dubai. Call their service centre http://www.jumbocorp.com/scentre_lst.asp (I usally call Rashidiya and the chap there is very helpful), ask to be put through to Dyson spare parts. The guy will be able to tell you if the part you need is in stock and you can request to collect it from your nearest Jumbo Store Collection Point. If the part you're looking for is the rubber band for the motor in the floor plate, it's about 15Dhs and they do usually have them in stock. HTH - can't survive without my Dyson!!!

Hi Wikkid, we bought ours from Office Depot in Mirdif City Centre. Ours only does the plastic binding as far as I know but they did have a couple to choose from in the store. The staff there were also very helpful. Another suggestion might be the big stationery store at the back of Al Khabayl(sp?) Discount Centre in Deira.

I would use the and the(e) too (British if it makes any difference) but also did a quick google to help you settle your debate :) http://www.englishrules.com/writing/2005/pronouncing-the-definite-article/ http://www.englishclub.com/pronunciation/the.htm ETA... the(e) End (for example) has less to do with End starting in a vowel and is more for emphasis so technically your DH is correct there. You might also say, for example, "The Hangover is the(e) film to watch". <em>edited by dunight on 12/08/2011</em>

Hi AdviceSeeker, You can call the Department of Economic Development and ask them as they are the ones who have issued the license and that's where you would do the cancellation. Here are some links which you may find helpful... there are a number of cancellation fees listed so it may be worth calling to see which ones would apply to your license. HTH. Not sure if it's a similar procedure but I closed our last DEWA account which was in my DH's name. I needed a letter of no objection from your DH, a copy of his passport and a copy of your own passport, along with all the usual docs/deposit for opening an account. HTH

Hi Emlsnre, I took my three dogs there in April for Rabies blood tests, they were really great with all three who are a little on the nervous side occasionally and had the results sent from Jum branch to Mirdif branch within a day or so of them arriving. I was really pleased with them and even more so because it didn't mean putting the dogs in the car. I will definitely be using them again. HTH

i believe that one of the things you have to consider is that you will then need to pay your maid the min UK wage, which is a lot more than the min salary requirement here! also i think the uk authorities only let you bring a maid who has been with you a certain time, and also who is over a certain age. I don t know the full details, but some friends werent able to take their maid with them as she was deemed to be too young! I was recently looking at UK minimum wage requirements for the same thing and got this from the website: [b'>Living in your employer’s household[/b'> [i'>If you are a member of your employer’s family, live in their home and help run a family business or help with household chores, you are not entitled to the National Minimum Wage if you share in the family’s tasks and activities. If you are not a member of your employer’s family but you live in their home and share in the household’s work and leisure activities, for example if you are an au pair, you are not entitled to the National Minimum Wage.[/i'> [url=http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Employment/Employees/TheNationalMinimumWage/DG_175114'>direct.gov.uk[/url'>

6 years and no ladies night?! Wow, you're going to have a blast! Just be sure to call the venues on the night as their timings for giving out the vouchers usually changes due to the bars opening later and closing earlier.

Can you find the tap for the plants irrigation and make sure it's switched off? Depending on the stretch of plants, you may have one or two taps for the plants irrigation and they will be low down near the ground.

Download Malwarebytes Anti Malware from here [url=http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Malwarebytes-AntiMalware/1186760019/1'>Malwarebytes[/url'> Install the software once it's downloaded and then when you open the program, select 'Perform Quick Scan'. Depending on your computer it may take 30 minutes or so to complete. Once the scan has finished you will see a report of how many viruses it has found and I think you can then click to quarantine them. Then download Avast Anti Virus from here and perform a full scan [url=http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download'>Avast anti virus[/url'> Alternatively you can choose from a wide range of Anti Virus programs to download for free from [url=http://www.download.com'>CNET[/url'> You really do need an anti virus on your computer... there are just too many nasties out there!! I run the avast every other day and Anti Malware once a week and you would be surprised how many threats you can pick up just from browsing and downloading. HTH

We have recently come back from staying at Buri Rasa - a lovely boutique hotel at the bottom of the Chaweng strip. The rooms are a nice size with a courtyard but not sea facing. The restaurant/pool/beach/bar area fills the sea facing area. The staff are very friendly and the food is lovely there. I wouldn't recommend it if you are with children as the pool is not huge but it is a lovely place. Years ago (5 or 6) we stayed at the Central Beach Resort... which was lovely at the time and in the same area. We keep meaning to go back to check whether the rooms and facilities have been kept in good condition but haven't had the chance. The Banana Fan that Kells Bells mentions is in between the Buri Rasa and Central I think.

Hi Fliss, I switched my dogs over to RAW... I got a lot of info from this thread when I started: http://www.expatwoman.com/abudhabi/forum/messages.aspx?TopicID=95041&Page=2 Unfortunately I have never yet made it over the the Meat Market but it does seem like a good place to try. Marblesxx... loads of advice on this thread (and on the web in general) but I started gradually with chicken for a week or so, then added beef on a couple of days, lamb, fish... now they eat pretty much anything and everything! The baggage she can check in should be 30kg or less, if she wants to check in more she will need to pay excess baggage charges. Unfortunately she won't be able to split the allowances and check in more then carry on less. The carry on baggage is rarely weighed, but one cabin size suitcase (or 12kg as they put it) is in addition to the 30kg checked in luggage. Re weighing... 40kg is a heck of a lot for one bag!! Most airlines offer a limit of 20kg for economy... but the maximum they will take in any one single bag is 32kg (and they will label it HEAVY) Are you able to pick up the bag with one arm? That's usually a pretty good indication of whether it's too heavy (depending on how strong you are :))

I just had a look at the website, I'm not sure if those centres will pick up stray/abandoned animals, but if they do, they will almost certainly be taken to the Municipality Vetinary Services Section, which is in Al Khawaneej (and not specifically listed on the website). It seems from the website that the Vetinary Services all fall under Public Health and Safety, so I could guess that each of the branches listed on the website has a Public H&S Section that would handle strays too...??? Sorry, not very helpful :(

Marycatherine just reminded me of a rescue we took in a couple of years ago. He was an older dog and while he seemed to be well behaved, the house training thing was a complete nightmare (and I''m not just talking about #1s!!!) he just would not go when on a leash or on a walk. We eventually caught on that if we took him out to the garden and closed the door so he could not go back inside and played ball with him, he would do his business in the garden without much fuss and within 5 minutes usually. Don't know if this helps but it did work for us. And again, lots and lots of praise & treats when he got it right. Good luck!!!

It definitely belongs to one of the villas on 33 street... one of the villas that backs on to Shorooq. We used to see it daily in the winter when we walked past with the dogs, it never seemed to go anywhere, just sit up there in the tree.

We normally visit on a weekday afternoon... there's usually quite a few people around though you're right. Definitely not a place to visit at the weekend though! :D I also have a couple of poles from Ikea, but they're not really that strong and I'm guessing if you're hanging 8-10m worth of proper curtains you're going to need something pretty sturdy!! Also, just a note to make sure you get the stronger brackets too that have a diagonal support in them or are triangle shaped, as the weight of the curtains will buckle the normal L shaped ones. the shops in Dragonmart also offer the two and three pole brackets so that you can hang a voile or sheer curtain behind the main curtains on another pole. HTH

No worries. And good luck. May I just ask ... what's the deal? Does the client wash her hair and have it wet and ready for a cut when the hairdresser arrives? Or does that happen afterwards? Who does the hairwashing? I can't see myself bending over backwards in one of my sinks at home [no room for one thing!'> so after the consult, would the client have a shower and do the hair wash ... or what? Sorry, am seriously interested in finding out how it all works. :) For regular clients, they may want to have their hair wet ready for cutting etc but I guess it's down to each individual what they prefer. Can't really see my sister jumping in the shower with a client to wash their hair but I'm sure she's done a few hair washes over the side of the bath (ie. both fully clothed :D)

Hi mum2girls... if you have a hotmail account or something like that it sounds like your email has been hacked. Log on to your email and change your password as soon as you can. Try to use a strong password using caps, small letters, numbers and symbols as it makes your account much harder to hack. eg. if my password was wellies, i would try something like wElL!3s (if that makes any sense at all!) This happened to me a couple of years ago and (touch wood) the problem was solved by changing my password.

It might help if you can post which area of Shorooq the cat has gone missing from too, does it have a collar? We see loads of cats wandering when we are out so more info and a pic would be very useful.
