ahhh okay... sorry to have misunderstood... with the packages it is best to check with the respective hospital as to what is covered and what isn't coz every hospital will have a different policy on their exclusions... most packages will not, for example, cover the following: - any antenatal admission prior to delivery - neo natal ICU - blood transfusions - newborn screening - epidurals - patient helper meals & stay - extended stay more than allocated to that type of delivery Good points by horizonmum2. To put it other way ..they will cover only what is mentioned in their package . They stick to it, quite literally. Expect to be invoiced for everything for the newborn..vaccination, peadiatrician care at the time of delivery, newborn screenings and peadiatrician checkup before you are sent home. You can find out from your hospital..for a normal delivery what things are done for newborn and how much it does add up to..to get an idea how much you need to pay out of your pocket on top of your package. If there are any complications( vacuum or forceps or any NICU stay) that's also separate, as the package is usually for a straight forward normal delivery or straight forward cesarean with a fixed number days of hospital stay. Depending on how expensive services are in your chosen hospital , have a backup cash of at least 10k at the time of delivery. You are right. I need to speak to the hospital again. I got the package description from them and now I need to check what are the regular procedures that fall out of the list. At the same time I wonder what was the experience of others. You know, just to have an idea what is average here. I am planning to deliver in the same hospital, did you find out more info? thanks

Have you tried Top Chef? They have various classes and each one has a menu set beforehand which you can see online. Just had a look and there's a Thai class next week. Most likely there will be an Arabic one some time (there was in Ramadan, when I was looking). You cook your meal (several courses) then all eat it I think. topchefdubai dot com thanks i will keep an eye on top chef... i was hoping to find home cooking type of classes..

So here's the story... I'm Christian and in a relationship with a Muslim man. I'm half South African, half British and he is from Ras Al Khaimah. My family is very open minded, however, I think they would prefer for me to marry a Christian. I don't think they will refuse it if he is not, as long as he takes good care of me and love me. For his family, they are Bedouin. Close minded. Obviously his family would never accept it if he wants to marry a Christian Westerner. He is talking about getting engaged and I am keen on the idea. We really love each other and we are not only a couple, but best friends also. He doesn't want to tell his family for obvious reasons, but once we are married he would like me to meet his family. He thinks they will accept me into their family once we are married. I know his parents wouldn't be happy. Has anyone been in a situation like this before. The problem is not our religions, the problem is his parents are old and not open minded so wouldn't like any change in tradition. you need to think and rethink million times before you agree. i am central asian, muslim, and i married joradanian born and lived all his life in dubai. and let me tell you that you will have no rights in this marriage! none! nada! all laws in UAE do support men when they marry foreighners. If you get married in your country and your child will carry your citizenship this will be huge benifit for you in the future. also if he doesnt want to get his families blessing before marriage, there is a chance he will take 2nd wife to keep them happy. this happened to my friend. unless you are ready sacrifice completly be aware!!!

Another one... having underarm botox reduces your perspiration, which is very welcoming in the summer months when going from meeting to meeting and walking around with wet patches under your arms.... for me it's a huge problem, donno why but ever since I had kids, my hormones changed somewhat and I perspire far too much for my liking. Only downside, Dubai charge a little fortune to have it done here, so I have it done in my home country. teftee, this is hot topick for me also, can u give me a bit more infor please? thanks
