Have lived in Sharjah, Deira, Um Suquem, Jumeirah 2 and now the Springs and I have to say depending on your needs- work/school/shops etc, Jumeirah 2 and the Springs are by far the best in terms of community feel, the streets are beautiful and green, shops/coffee shops are close to you and they just have a very nice feel to them, plus you see people walking their dogs and generally out and about. I personally prefer the springs but its only because it is much closer to our work and our villa is much nicer than the one we had in Jumeirah 2. Of course if you prefer apartment living, then ignore everything ive just said :D Good luck!

Hi there, You'll find a all the information you need to know here... http://www.uaenurseries.ae/en/chdepartment/child-department.html HTH Hi Admin, It states that you need to be UAE national, is that the case for ALL daycare centers and nurseries in the UAE? I will of course be getting in touch with them tomorrow but just curious as to whether that would really be the case. Thanks,

Hi Everybody, Bit of a weird question but any advice would be highly appreciated, After working in sales for 8 years in about to have my 2nd child, it’s always been a dream of mine to open a nursery. Now feels like the right time for me to start looking into it as I plan on returning to work after the birth but would rather do something I enjoy with more flexibility problem is I have no idea where to start. I know I would need to employ or partner with someone in the industry as it would be too hard to do alone with no experience but I have a few questions if anybody has an idea or can point in the right direction (maybe they have done it themselves?) 1. Will I need a local partner 2. What qualifications would my staff need 3. Is there certain areas I can do it in 4. What kind of licenses do I need 5. Any rules and regulations Does anybody know where I can go to find all this information out and how I can start looking into it. Thanks Hey, Hope you are well :) Can I ask if you ever managed any answers to your questions, I am also looking at starting at my own business! Thank you so much xx

SkyKitty! Just want to say a HUGE thank you for your words, I have to say it does put a lot of things in perspective when you put it that way :) I HATE flying and I am flying next weekend and the weekend after that and I have been dreading it for ages (i also love travelling and unfortunately need to be on a plane to get to my destination), in fact I keep getting mini panic attacks even thinking about it! I once spent the whole flight from Mumbai to Dubai crying my eyes out because the seat belt sign was on and there was turbulence almost the whole flight! ahhhh I will definitely remember your stories next week and try to keep myself calm :D Thank you very very very much! xxx

Hi All, I was wondering if anyone knows of a nice 2/3 bedroom villa with a nice garden that is available for rent from beginning of July for a year or more. We have a gorgeous dog (Golden Retriever) who needs some garden space to run around in and ideally we are looking for a nice villa with a good bit of space. Would appreciate any feedback on villas coming up or available in Mirdif, Al Barsha, Springs (End Units) and well maintained units. Thanks alot Hi! Reach me on jihanebayt at gmail dot com, I am leaving my 3 bedroom villa in Jumeirah 2 and looking for someone to fill it first week of July

Take the bus? What bus? What's the schedule then? Where to go for brunch? Finding out there is more versions of english then just the brit english and the american english. Once, a friend told me with sad eyes that her friend's dad just expired. I burst out laughing. Quickly apologise tho. LOL! yes ive heard that too...

I am fedup with Dubai Estate Agents!!! They don't listen and they specialise in false advertisments. How can they place something on Dubizzle today and when you phone either not know what you are talking about or claim it is already rented. Besides Just Rental, Bayut and Property Finder which all appear on Dubizzle anyway, does anybody know of any other search sites for rental property in Dubai.? Thanks you for letting me get this off my chest. Hi PolkaPet, I am about to vacate my villa in Jumeirah 2 , its a 3 bedroom villa with a shared pool and garden front and back for 150k in 4 cheques. Please let me know if you are interested? We need someone to move in by first week of July. Cheers!

Yes that's the feel I got of it, we walked down the streets to the pool by the main entrance (i think) and it does have that nice cosy feeling, to be fair though I got that from a lot of the other springs too :) P.S- I am JJMagrudy, just decided to have a name change :D Thanks for all your replies ladies and all the inside info! Keep em coming if you think of any more x

Thank you so much for your replies, this was very helpful, I think we would be missing the EIS timings, I leave for work around 8.45am and come back at 5.30pm or 6pm.. That should be fine I hope? I currently live in Jumeirah 2 and Friday is a bit of a nightmare with cars parked on the actual road that takes you to the Safa park exit from beach road onto wasl road..yes cars parked at the traffic light- took us a while to realise they were parked and there no actual hold up! Also thanks for the tip re Spinneys- what b*ggers!!! Fingers crossed, should be living in springs 1 pretty soon :)
