Hello Ladies, I am looking for a good pediatric endocrinologist for my daughter, preferably in Dubai. She is almost 8 years old and is going through precocious puberty. She has also developed an auto-immune disorder and I would really like to consult a good pediatric endocrinologist at the earliest. Any leads / advice would be greatly appreciated. Hi Dubai diva, My daughter is also 8 years. And the doctor ( Dr Hubert) says she may have precocious puberty. Can you tell me what doctor you visited and how.was your experience? It seems like there are no paediatric endocrinologist in dubai.. Thanks

Thank you for all the feedback. You Ladies are amazing. :) We went there and had to wait for a good 45 minutes. :O However, we ordered the chicken madeira and pasta. Both were very delicious, We also ordered the Mango Lime cheesecake and That was quite disappointing. Overall, the food was very heavy and filling. Its a good place to go once in a while.

What does he need? I got DH a backpack for the gym last year, the year before a new shaver as his was broken, maybe a nice couples massage voucher then dinner out Cuff links, tie if he wears formal clothes, a nice belt. (Hubby is into those stuff) I also got him a basket from the bodyshop once but he wasn't impressed loool. He buys me expensive stuff like watches & jewellery on my birthdays, but he doesn't expect the same on his birthdays. Thank you so much for the suggestions. I pressed the wrong thumbnail in ratings. lol! Really this is helpful.

I always tip the girls who wash hair, do manicures etc. When I go to an expensive spa for a treatment, I don't feel I should have to tip (but I do anyway) because we are paying so much that the staff should be well paid. That's the only time I resent tipping. Thats what I felt too. Its an expensive spa and they should be getting paid well.

I am thinking I will get him perfume and dinner at a nice restaurant. I would have really liked a weekend getaway but its on a weekday. He would have loved that. :( edited by adesperatehousewife on 16/04/2013

Apparently "he didn't know what to get me" for my bday. Mothers day he forgot. But then at Easter, I dropped many hints and got flowers and an abundance of chocolate. Men are just cr@p aren't they. Join the club. Been a mother for 5 years and he has never remembered mothers day at all. :( Totally agree with you Pikachu. Never mind, you'll soon be getting the hand made card with bits of things stuck on it and rubbish spelling of "I love you mummy" ....absolutely priceless :)

He's now mad at me because he burned it :) not because i wasn't available to do it, but "next time when you finish the ironing, turn down the heat on the iron :( i burned my sifrah :(" I said "why didn't you bl00dy check before you started!!!!" to which he replied "it's your fault, who irons with the iron on full heat!" Em, everyone ! :) LOOOOOL as i write this he's asking what i'm laughing at. you my darling :D Lol!

Hi Ladies, Any of you tried Hypoxi at Machka Beauty & Body Designs on Al Wasel Rd for weight loss? I did my research on Hypoxi and Dubai seems to have only a couple of certified Hypoxi studios by the parent company www.Hypoxi.net. My target is loose 10Kg and to drop 2 dress sizes by July. I have tried exercise, diets and I am not getting the results I need. been troubled with fat deposits all concentrated in my stomach and hips! My sister tried Hypoxi and did have effect at the time of the sessions but the weight and fat has returned back after she stopped.

I have heard that you lose weight but gain it back ehn you leave them. I had gone for consultation once and the nutritionist told me that you need to stick to a proper diet after or you will surely gain back the weight.

It's cooler in the morning but school pick up is UNbearable! Somehow it seems that summer is easier. I think it's because you get parked nearer the door to things and you are not hanging about for ages outside. School Bus is the only solution!

Does anyone know if Frosted is still up and running? My son wants a Star Wars cake and there is a recommendation below. Any other recommendations for a good cake maker in Dubai would be highly appreciated. Thanks :O) I would really recommend 'The Cake Heaven'. My friend had ordered from there. She had got a cake tailor made as a Chanel bag. Give it a try. https://www.facebook.com/TheCakeHeaven edited by adesperatehousewife on 04/09/2012
