Do not go to court if you have not been summoned - the court will not make an order if both parties are not represented. You cannot just sit in the court and see what happens ... . Ignore the advice on here that tells you to stay here and stay strong. I assume you have no source of income and rely on his money. Get as much of it as you can and leave. Get the school records sent once you are back in the UK - but of course these will not be released if the fees are not paid. Enrol your kids in school back in the UK and file for divorce. He also knows you post on this site, as you have probably talked about the site with him. Take down this post and borrow money if you need to - so you can speak to a lawyer. edited by aevans_indubai on 17/12/2012

I live in JBR and have done so for over 5 years. I also live down your way - in Sadaf. I find the place brimming with loads of happy people. I too have great neighbours, and enjoy the facilities on offer for JBR residents. We rarely need our car at the weekend, and now that the pools have finally stopped letting in non-residents, we can enjoy the numerous pools in our complex as well. With all due respect, I think the problem is that you have a dog. A lot of us living there hate the fact that the rules apply to some and not to all. No pets are allowed - and yet people with dogs keep moving in and flaunting their complete disregard for the rules. I find I often scowl at all dog owners, as (unlike yourself) the majority of dog owners are happy for their dogs to p** anywhere- including the green areas where children are on their hands and knees playing. So perhaps it is not you, it is your 4 legged companion people find less palatable. There are a lot of apartments that permit dogs, and you should have been told before you moved in to JBR that dogs were not allowed.

I second galleries Lafayette - they turned up on time , with a gorgeous hot Turkey wiht the most ridiculous amount of condiments and vegetables. I prepared the leg of ham and other veg (hubby likes mash and roast potatoes!) and the desserts - but unfortunately don't have a huge oven to cook the turkey so ordered one.

So annoyed and upset by the RITZ CARLTON AT JUMERIAH BEACH We too had a booking for 6 adults and 4 kids (booked months ago) and their F&B Manager sent an email after I provided all my credit card details .... sorry - we CAN NO LONGER confirm children. I even offered to pay full price for the children - but she then she changed her story and said they had no space 'anymore for children' was her exact statement. 6 adults paying 945 AED per head and they had no space for 4 children @ 270 each?? Was so disappointed and so upset as we too had family arriving from Australia. I literally begged for a table - and was just told 'no children under 5'. It ruined everything about our christmas planning, and I am still very upset about the way they treated us. I had no problem paying up front for all of us and offered that as an option as well. I would not go there now if they offered the whole lunch for free. They treated us (and it seems the majority of people) appallingly. I have also cancelled a baby shower I had planned to hold there for a work colleague next month, and will never go back there. We live locally, and as a large family were frequent visitors to their F&B venues, and not only that when family came to stay in Dubai they always stay at the Ritz given it's location is so convenient to our home. The best thing about living in Dubai is that we are spoilt for choice, and given there are at least 10 5 star hotels within 1km from the Ritz - there is no reason to go there for anything if that is the way they treat people. edited to remove bold... edited by aevans_indubai on 06/11/2012
