Highly recommend DESS as a well established non for profit school of over 50 years old. One of the best schools in Dubai.

If I was moving to the Ranches I would definitely chose Jebel Ali. Non for profit school and a long standing excellent reputation.

Where are you moving from? Only visited this school once but I would say the resources are really lacking. I would advise to visit before you sign up.

After many years here these are the schools I would suggest, DESS JESS JEBIL Ali (new school building in September) All these are none for profit schools which brings more of a community feel to the schools.

Schools are having difficulties this year because of the new charity restrictions. Therefore I know JESS and DESS festive fayres have been cancelled.

Many children need and have shadows (special needs assistants) in the UK. So not just Dubai.

There is a Ranches facebook page which might provide you with more information. We are in a Saheel and also doing some renovations. Emaar are concerned about the outside look but you also need permission from DM for any structural work.

Both great schools and JESS AR has a high school. However no as academic as JAPS if that is what you want. Look at SAT results for both schools.

Hi We did have UAE and Qatar residences as my husband was commuting and we kept both for the 1st year we were in Doha. However when we travelled between these 2 locations they did not like that we had both although we were always OK.

I have some friends visiting and they would like to stay at JBR. So far they have looked at Sheraton JBR and Hilton JBR. Both around the same price so which do you think is best? Also any other hotels you can recommend at JBR?

Yes from what I have heard. They see this as a tuition fee for the rehearsals.

My husband is doing this. Really doesnt take long to book flights on line. He does maybe a month at a time. However if he is getting a Qatar RP needs to stay longer than 1 week. He has flown both fly Dubai and Emirates but is finding Emirates cheaper especially if booked early, better, get miles and from terminal 3. He also Flies to Dubai Thursday and back Sunday morning.

We are in Dubai and moving to Doha. We applied to DESS and managed to get a place for our year 5 child quite quickly which has put our other children at the top of the list. Having a year 5/6 child is a good way to get into DESS and then you should get a place at DC. I dont know all the schools in Doha but i already know DESS and DC have the best repetation.
