Just wanted to say that 2 days after I posted my comment on here about my experience, Cobone has an offer for a Moroccan Bath! I guess my prayers were answered :P The deal is Moroccan bath, Loreal hair treatment and a foot reflexology for 144 dhs :) Pretty good deal me thinks!

I've had a Moroccan bath at Beauty Spot on Wasl Road. My oh my is it good!! I felt so ashamed of how much dead skin came off but it was great - I was as soft as a baby's bottom :P And yes, there is really no need to wear anything... The therapist doesn't leave anything unscrubbed (except for the face which I requested to leave alone because of how sensitive my face is). You will love it! Let us know how it goes :)

We just moved into Mirdif yesterday and used Supreme Waypacking International Movers (050 4371123). They were excellent - didn't break a thing and were very pleasant. Highly recommend them. Oh and they were the cheapest from all the quotes we got from recommended moving companies on EW.

Okay so King Coil is out and Tempur isn't for everyone... I will go have a look at Tempur this weekend. Any other suggestions? Mattresses here cannot be that bad :(

I do have thick hair but not very curly and it's shoulder length... I have to go back and wash it off because it needs time for the hair to take in the keratine. You can always opt for the crystal treatment if that bothers you - it's just more expensive... And you'll need to buy special shampoo and conditioner if you want the keratine to last longer.

Hi Nutty, I just had mine done on Saturday and I'll be going today to have the chemicals washed off. It doesnt change the color of your hair at all. As for getting your hair colored, you need to do that before the Keratine treatment as coloring it after that would remove the effect. I got mine done at Beauty Spot on Wasl Road - they currently have 50% Keratine. They have two types of treatment - one is the normal one (which is what I did) where you have to come back in 2 days to wash it off the hair and the other is called Crystal where it's all done on the same day (so no need to come back). But their offer is on the normal one :)

I've got the Emirates Islamic Bank credit card... it's been only a month but it seems to be all good so far *touch wood* I left HSBC for EIB because I wasn't getting much out of the airmiles to be honest. SalsB, where did you get those surveys from?

I did the IB and although it was hard work, especially with the Diploma, it was a blast. Loved it and I would put my kids through it too :P

Hi everyone! I'm looking into getting a hormone test to check out why I am still getting acne at the age of 23! I am getting really sick of it and spending money on products that do nothing :( I am left with two things to do: 1. Check out my hormones 2. See if I've got a food intolerance Does anyone know where I can get a hormone test? Do I go to GP or Dermatologist or who? Any recommendations would also be great! Thanks!!!

Thanks everyone for your replies. I've had a look at Cass Business School but the tuition is way out of my budget. Over AED 200k for the program - STEEP! :( Strathclyde seems to be really good as well but I don't meet their entry requirements. I don't have 3 years work experience just yet but it does look excellent otherwise. Hopefully I can land somewhere good but it does seem to be a challenge finding something good here. I just don't understand the difference between an accredited university and one that is not. Heriot-Watt seems to be the best so far for me apart from the accreditation aspect and I don't know if it will affect me in any way...

Thanks Advise Seeker. I'll have a look into it. Would anyone happen to know the difference between a university that is accredited and not? Will it put me at a disadvantage in the future?

Oh wow DubaiStar... I suspected that this happened here but not to this degree... When I spoke to the university, I questioned them about the accreditation and attestation of the masters degree and I was told that they send it to the UAE Embassy in London for attestation. Apparently this is the procedure people who have done degrees outside the UAE follow. I wouldn't know to be honest since I got my degree from here and the university was accredited and my degree attested from here - that's why I wanted to double check with anyone who has been there... Thanks for the heads up though. I'll make sure I triple check everything before giving them a cheque!!

I know that Beauty Spot in Umm Suqeim allow customers to keep their nail kits there and they also sell you their kits for future use as well.
