I've contested a fine (was charged much higher than I should have been charged) and I had evidence to prove it. If you have some sort of proof such as being home or out of the country on the day the fine was issued then you can contest it at the police station in AL Barsha. Head to the ladies section; they were great there.

Go to the ladies section at the barsha police station on sheikh Zayed road and show them the fine and sms. I contested a fine as well and had it resolved on the spot.

My God.. Your poor kitties! I cannot recommend Jim highly enough - he's solved many issues I've had with my cats. He is located in Sharjah though but it's worth the trip. He's really good and much cheaper than anywhere in Dubai. He's at Euro Pets Hospital - give him a try and see what he says.

The problem with shipping directly to the UAE is that a lot of the stuff available for the USA don't exist. For example Ralph Lauren items are not available to be shipped here. Does anyone know where I can buy RL stuff on sale that ships to here or via shop and ship?

Bump! They got a deal on cobone today.. Can anyone recommend this center? I'm also interested in getting Lasik. I was going through past threads and read you've already done it with Atlanta Vision. So what happened? Does it not last? I did mine at Atlanta Vision (also through a Cobone) and it was successful :) I'm asking about Laser Eye Care for someone who is interested in buying it.

Hi, I've been trying to lose weight (counting calories on my fitnesspal, exercising, eating very healthy) and haven't even lost 1 kg. Can anyone recommend a dietitian? I must be doing something wrong... How many calories are you eating? What exactly are you eating? Are you exercising? For breakfast, I usually have oats (plain oats) with frozen berries & a drizzle of honey made with almond or soya milk. Lunch is usually a tuna or chicken salad (dressing is normally lemon, honey/pomegranate molasses, salt) Dinner is also something light like a salad or tuna sandwich. Snacks are apples or raw almonds. That comes out to 1,200 calories (more if I exercise). I usually burn around 500 calories so on the days I work out, then I eat 1,700 calories. And I still get hungry!

I like the whole spelt bread from the organic supermarket but only when toasted... Its quite crunchy so you cant feed it to a baby but its my favorite :)

What snacks do you all eat? I am good until I need a quick snack and fruit doesn't cut it. I do not have the time to make these delectable snacks I get recipes for! I do not care that someone says it does not work. The proof is in the gluten free, no grain, no sugar pudding, and what my body tells me is what I listen to.. Raw almonds, rice crackers with whatever on them (i do peanut butter and jam because im allergic to dairy), dark chocolate (70%), fruits, raw veggies...

Hey! Im planning a trip with a friend to Amsterdam for 2 or 3 days then about a week in Spain. When in Barcelona, we will be also visiting Granada and Sevilla. Is there specific you recommend we see? Restaurants or bars we have to visit? Hotels you can recommend that are not too expensive? We are still in the beginning of planning everything.. We only just booked flights!! Thanks!!!

Sorry to hear that. I never went back after calling them for a waxing appointment one day only to be told that the waxing room will be occupied and if i mind getting waxed outside (in the manicure area). You will need to ask your friend if she responds to any noises (like shaking a box of cat biscuits). Alternatively, just take an open can of tuna with you when trying to find her (at the risk of attracting every stray in the area)! If you can, try and have a look around during the day as it would be much easier to see. Look in small tight areas as cats like to snuggle in small spaces. Keep an eye on their house; cats almost always come back so don't forget to look around their garden. Hopefully she's just gone for a wander and will be back soon.

Sakhifa is right, the graduate Programs are mostly for UAE nationals hence you dont see a lot of companies offering this kind of thing here locally. we have a couple of masters students that work in our firm as analysts but its not a graduation program but there is scope for them to do better when they finish their studies. you could try that What firm is this?

Isn't an MBA suppose to be taken while you are working, or rather have work experience? I know Etihad offer an excellent graduate scheme! I am working but looking for a career change which is very difficult. I think a graduate program would be the way forward for me.

Try the Organic Supermarket. They have a leaflet with all the ingredients in all the different types of bread they sell. They have to do that because many people with food intolerences/allergies buy their bread from there. They have quite a nice variety too but they sell out fast so its always best to call and have them reserve your bread for you.

I went for an a food intolerence test and there were loads of foods i was eating on a daily basis that I was intolerent to. The moment i cut them out, i felt much better. I went to see Dr Heather at the Dubai Mall Clinic who gave me tons of advice on how to cut them out (alot of them were hidden in food). She said i only have to cut them out for 3 months and slowly reintroduce them. Now im good with all of them except for wheat and dairy. Before the test, i was tired all the time, i had body aches, funny digestion, blocked sinuses. But now im full of energy and dont have these problems anymore. However, they do come back the moment i eat anything with wheat or dairy. Get yourself checked, it will change your life!
