Even if you choose to get a villa with no pool in Mirdiff or Warqaa, you can always go to Mushrif Park. They have an all ladies pool and the entrance fee I think is only 10 dhs and its just 10 minutes away :)

Places like Geant sell egg replacer and rice milk as well as gluten free pasta etc. Purple your link talks about getting a false negative for gluten intolerance but do you know if it's possible to get a false positive? my link talks about a false negative for Celiac, but as mentioned, you can not diagnose gluten intolerance without ruling out Celiac. With over 95% of Celiacs being undiagnosed, many of those undiagnosed are ones with a wrong diagnosis (IBS, intolerance, stress tummy, etc etc). The food intolerance tests will show different results depending on a whole range of factors. A gastro will diagnose gluten intolerance by [i'>ruling out Celiac[/i'>, response to diet and other factors (I am not a dr so will not go in to all the details). If you are an adult then I highly recommend Dr Rolef or Dr Klein with Healthbay polyclinic, both are very knowledgeable when it comes to gluten issues. edit to add, as a general rule, anything to do with wheat / gluten and dairy should be done using the specific tests for those foods as they are the most accurate. edited by Purple on 19/03/2013 Thats correct. My test showed I have Gliadin intolerence which was wrong. I have problems with certain grains (some which have gluten). It is really best to go speak to a professional about your test results. They will explain each and every item in detail and tell you what to stay away from (you would be amazed to know how much food we eat have ingredients you would never think they have...)

If you havent already seen someone to discuss the test results, I would very highly recommend you pay a visit to Dr. Heather at the welcare clinic in Dubai Mall. She is excellent and will give you a really detailed explanation on what your next steps are. I also did this test and she advised I cut the foods out for 3 months and slowly reintroduce them back into my diet then watch for reactions (if any). So it became a temporary issue rather than a permanent one. Maybe the same is happening with your child.

I was so hoping that there would be some good news. Please don't loose hope AS. I really dont think he would have made it... The vet removed a big piece from underneath his tongue, stitches risked being opened up (he was supposed to go for a follow up tomorrow), no food, no water, he has kidney problems, cataracts, high blood pressure, and hes 17 years old. It would be a miracle if he's still alive :( SueB, it's true they run away and hide when they want to die isn't it?

awww I feel so bad. I cannot imagine what you are going through. Can he climb walls/trees well? Is he up a tree? No he cant.. He could just about jump onto the bed so walls and trees are a no go for him :(

Thank you SueB for taking the time to answer. We have looked everywhere again and still cannot find him. I've put up posters in some shops around Mirdiff and along the roads in our neighborhood. As much as I hate it, I don't think he made it without his medications, a wound in his mouth (although its stitched up, they could have come undone), no water and no food at 17 years old :( The whole family is extremely upset not knowing what happened :(

They started this few months back and it is the rudest thing in my eyes. How can they bother and remind and mail and call before the due date ? I am so looking forward to cancel my services with them soon. I agree..l they can harass you if you've missed the payment but not otherwise! The last time they called me, I told them off so they havent called since :)

amanda, he is in pain you are sure....so, he has gone into hiding :(....start by looking around your house behind bushes, in openings he could get into..neighbours yards very close. Look thourghly into adjoing yards, under stationery objects, boxes....are you sure he has not gone back into your house? Hopefully he will come out when he is thirsty but dont count on it if he is in pain :(....keep looking close by.....good luck I was hoping you would answer. I thought that cats go into hiding when they are in pain but I spoke to 2 vets today who told me that's not a common thing that happens. They got me doubting my kitty knowledge! I will have to ask our neighbors today - couldn't do that last night as it got too late. The only way he could have come out is when the electric gate opened when we went out (that was twice) before we realized he went missing - it was only a matter of a minute between the gate openings so the chances of him escaping is small. Is there anything else I can do? :( I will keep you ladies posted on any developments.

Here's hoping he is hiding out close by and he hears you shaking the bikkies box. Sending positive thoughts your way. I will be distributing flyers today if he doesn't show by the evening. I've tried the tuna and it hasn't worked... I think the people on my street must think I'm completely crazy! I'm hoping his stitches haven't come undone... I don't know what else to do :(

If you are willing to invest in one, there is a kiosk in festival city (i think there is one in ibn batuta as well) that covers your iphone or ipad (front, back, and sides). The cover has a lifetime warranty so if it ever peels, take it back to them (with the cover still on) and they will replace it free of charge :) i paid 130 dhs to get my iphone done for just a clear film.. They have some with designs at the back for 180 dhs. Not sure of the price for the ipad though. The one at festival city is on the hyperpanda side of the mall. If burger king is to your back, walk straight towards damas etc and it will be on your right (i think by the elevators). Its the only one there.

Hi Ladies I am with Dr Madhu after you all recommending and he is amazing except he doesn't do wisdom teeth removal so now have the problem of finding a recommended on looked on previous posts but they are a little old now.... also does any one with past experience recommend having all 4 done at once? appreciate any help you can offer xxx Are you sure about that? I've just booked an appointment with him to have mine removed. Unless you mean it's a complicated surgery where you have to go to a hospital to do that...

My cousin bought his iphone5 from the US (just buy it unlocked from the apple store) and he had his UAE sim cut there to fit. He just subscribed to the packages offered here. As long as the phone is unlocked, you wont have a problem. I bought mine from here and was given a new micro sim. I wouldnt have been able to cut mine because its a very old sim card and the chip is bigger than the newer ones. ShannonB, If your phone that you buy from here is unlocked, then you can use it anywhere. You just wont have facetime on it because thats not on the iphones bought here. I'm not sure if you could download it once youre there? HTH.

amanda, we had this last year and the invading cat in question was a real beast! It terrorised our cat from outside while she was inside and every time she set foot in the garden. We initially tried throwing water on it but it didnt have any effect. Im afraid to say that the only thing that seemed to work was physical violence. We are serious cat lovers and would nevery do anything to hurt any other animal but we were afraid this other cat would actually scare ours away completely as it was getting ridiculous. The next time it came into our garden, my DH went outside with a broom handle and gave it a swift bang on the back. He didnt really hurt him as the cat was able to run and climb the wall and then deliberate as to whether he should come back or not but he didnt.... As I said, we would never resort to violence with animals but this other cat was very vicious and was seriously terrorising our poor little one! The cat is actually okay with me... It purrs if I pet it but it's just nasty to my cat... Will see what I can do tonight to protect my little old kitty!

He is a nightmare to get into his box but I guess now that he's limping, it will be a bit easier... So if anyone in Mirdiff has a fat white cat, please keep it away from my house!! :(

I think our AXA policy also covers us for loss/damage when moving.... DH's 'thing' here is insurance, albeit in a different field, so I always trust his judgement on these matters. Where does he work?

According to their website Marshmallow Fluff contains Corn Syrup, Sugar Syrup, Dried Egg Whites and Vanillin. Maybe it was in the non Muslim section because it was being tested/examined that it contained only what it says it contains. Great thanks! :) I want to make a dessert for Iftar at a friend's house - wouldn't be appropriate if it had pork :P Check the contents. Much of this stuff contains gelatin, which is why it would be in the pork section. Great! Will go have a look :) Thanks everyone for your replies.
