My live-in nanny was also away for a month on her annual vacation. I have two kids and work full time so I needed another live-in to fill in. I have had a very successful experience with "Explorer Human Resource" in Al Moussa Tower on Sheikh Zayed Road who offer help for both short-term and long-term appointments. They're a bit pricy for the short-term but it's well worth it. You'll need to specify when you will want the maid to start and a day before you interview a list of candidates and choose from these and pick her up the next day. The maid I got was so good I actually got her a long-term appointment with friends of ours when my nanny came back (yay!). Their contact number is (04) 358 7622. Hope this helps.
