I applied via Esta for a holiday last December, it states they are valid for 2 years does this mean for travel to a different location in us this summer I can just access application and change destination address? Anyone done this? no changes are required an esta is like the old visa waiver but electronic version, you can put in flight etc information but its optional. once you have an esta you can use for 2 years (or less if passport runs out) anywhere you go in the usa. Thanks BB one less job to do

I'm furious about the fact that we enrolled for UK curriculum with GCSE and A Level and now they have changed it without consultation to IGCSE, BTEC,IBCC and IB, how can they do that ? Exactly as they did with Wellington International on SZR!!

Do any of these Italians serve p@rk ladies?? Awkward husband alert:) Medzo does but I don't think as a main dish ie I had veal tenderloin wrapped in prosciutto the other night and they do a side dish of green beans with pancetta all very good edited by angela on 18/05/2013

I know my daughter has been going to her weakest subjects during study leave hence the TAXI imprint on my forehead lol Sorry I passed your email onto the tutor, maybe she was full or is not tutoring people from your daughter's school. No problem thanks for trying

The four schools I know of that offer AS are Dubai College, DESC. Jumeirah College and English College. The problem you will face is that conditional offers have already been made so I would presume you will be on wait lists dependant on results which as I'm sure you know are not due until 22 August. Can't speak for the other schools but Desc require 5XB and also criteria for each individual subject. Debentures are only for JESS and I think one of the American schools.

Second to last IB Diploma exam tomorrow morning. Anyone else with an offsprung who found today's Higher Level Chemistry well nigh impossible? My poor child was trying so hard not to cry that she left marks on her arms where she stuck her nails into them. And going back to an old argument, I really do think the relevant teachers should be there at the beginning and the end of external exams, even if it's their day off. We have paid the school for an entire term's teaching and the children have only been in school for lessons for two weeks, the rest has been study leave and sitting the exams. The exams are over next week and there is still another month of term left. I think the school and teachers owe this to their pupils. edited by simpleasabc on 16/05/2013 edited by simpleasabc on 16/05/2013 All the teachers I know are available for their students at the normal lesson time during their student's study break. All teacher's I know say only one or two students will show up during study leave. If students don't want to go into school during study leave to see their teacher then there is nothing that teacher can do for them before the actual test. SS you never did get back to me re maths tutor? I know my daughter has been going to her weakest subjects during study leave hence the TAXI imprint on my forehead lol

Depends on many factors, ie rest before initial flight, whether there were extra flight deck, to allow inflight rest, time spent down route etc don't think it's a straightforward yes or no

DESC are looking for certain items see advert below The ICT Department's Appeal for your Old Tech! If you have any old mobile phones, laptops, desktops, games consoles or other devices that you no longer use or that do not work, we would be happy to take them off your hands! We want to build up a bank of old devices so students can take them apart and investigate the components. Any donations would be gratefully received! Deadline: end of term. Please remember to remove any sensitive data or valuable information.

Cymraes I did not mean to make an issue of it purely to point out you now pay for extra help which could not previously be achieved so you cannot really compare the schools. One question, if you do not mind me asking, did previous school know of the diagnosis when you enrolled and if so how did they propose you went forward?

GEMS schools all the way - DS in year 10, wish we'd known in 2009 when we arrived he's had such a better education! He wasted 2 years at a non profit premium school who couldn't (ie wouldn't) help? Maybe when you are continually making this statement about your experience you should also mention each time that you now pay an additional 45,000 on top of your school fees for this better education!!! It would maybe give a more balanced perspective.

Problems are due to the cable cut. If your Internet is with Etisalat they have re routed broadband to other cables but it means that your vpn will be restricted as Etisalat are only allowing you tube streaming and nothing else. Not the vpn providers fault I'm afraid. We use an excellent vpn provider with uk and USA servers but can't access uk ones at the moment due to the cable. Try www.viewtvabroad.com. They have 6 different servers in each country to choose from once you're set up so if one server is slow you can choose another. Oh great thanks for that saves me an online chat with them not really knowing what I'm talking about. Hope it gets sorted soon in the meantime will try your suggestion.

I can't see how it can be down to the cable issues as you tube without VPN works fine and speed test shows its up to more or less what we pay for - when VPN on it goes down to almost nothing - think I will email VPN company and ask - will report back if I find out anything

For some reason mine is much worse on a Sun and Mon. I find filmon is better or if BBC i just download. The streaming seems hit or miss. My DD's watched a whole episode of the Cube and it never buffered once, they went to watch the next one to see what happened and it just wouldn't stream for more than a few secs. Was your streaming ok until recently though? Funnily enough I find the adverts are worse can sometimes take 10 mins to buffer through them! edited by angela on 05/04/2013

I liked it - amazing cold seafood selection. Beautiful room but music too loud so get an outside table I disagree music outside was worse as this is where the band was! They have been running a deal but think today is last day where you get free upgrade to next package - they didn't volunteer information though I had to ask as I had read it on website. Overall I enjoyed it for the price we paid

All you will need is a certificate from current school to say she has completed year 11. Your problem will be trying to find a place for sixth form as I think most cut off dates for applications have passed so you will probably be on a waiting list.
