Thanks for the advice so far. I did the BRCA gene test and it was negative. PHEW!!! No family history of breast cancer in the family so all just been surreal and trying to take this all in. We did talk about Chemo first to shrink the tumour but with the size and position I feel its better to just have mastectomy and reconstruction straight away. I have been seeing Dr Houriya and very happy with all my treatment so far. I have not seen an oncologist yet, when do i do this? I know Dr Houriya is very specialised and trust her completely but just wondering about the chemo side.

Thank you very much Hello.Again.Kitty You have put my mind at ease. Prob just a phase, I am starting to get used to that saying now. Amazing how many phases they go through. Always such a worry with your first one. You want to make sure you do it right. I could be overcompensating with milk as i am worried about her intake but she never did take the 600ml the books say you should be giving.

Thanks remmex76 I know, i feel bad. I try not to get worked up but I just find it frustrating and I end up sitting there for ages and going through different foods trying to get her to eat. Once I give fruit, no problem she will eat. She did cut her top 4 teeth last week. I am more worried about her getting her protein and iron. I do hate wasting the food but it's her health I am worried about.

Thanks Guinnes. I thought she would be. I thought teething too but then she eats fruit/yoghurt no problem. I have even made sure her food is cold incase it was that and it was bothering her teeth. I'm just so worried that she is not getting all her nutrients as she is having no protein or iron. She is not having her 600ml a day of formula either. edited by Angelaems1 on 04/12/2011

Hi We have the Tomy TD350. Really happy with it. We did try another Tomy digital one and that one did not even make it down the stairs before loosing signal. We can even take the TD350 outside (the opposite side of the house to DD room) and we also in an old villa with thick walls. It's Dhs799 from baby shop but cheaper on Amazon and shop and ship. It has night light, timer and temp. We love it. Good luck

Thanks Ladies. I was not sure of giving yoghurt/dairy at 7 months but will give it a go. The good thing is she took a good amount last night and this morning and still having wet nappies. What is another good way to get iron apart from meat? I am giving her either lentils or turkey for lunch at the moment, will try chicken this week. Just wondering what else to give to increase iron.

You should have told her that, surely, she received received too much breastmilk when she was a baby, that' s why She is obese ! lol ( joke) Jumeirajaneindubai you are totally out if line here. It is disgusting insulting someone like that. Totally below the belt and uncalled for. Why are you even on this thread. Just get off and stop wasting other peoples and especially the OP time. Some of us are actually interested in what some of the POLITE Moms have to say about Cecile.

Thanks Ladies. It's a difficult thing. I guess it will come down to what suits baby and me. I'm just concerned with trying to do sleeps when we are out. Think i will have to stay home for a week just to try get things sorted. Shelly, i went and checked the Gina Ford book again and you are correct. Only 1 feed is 4 hrs apart. 7am, 11am, 2:15-2:30, 6pm, 10:30. For ages 4-6 months. The contented little baby book has nothing on how to try get them to sleep. I have looked at Save our Sleep. But not sure on that as i know i really struggle with DD while she is in laying down she does not respond too well to my trying to settle her she just cries to be picked up. But to be honest i did only try it twice and gave up, not good on my part I know. I thought i would be a strong Mom before she was born but turn out i am a softy. ;-)

Thanks Plumie and Pentel again I thought that was a long time but reading Gina Ford and thought I could try that routine. As thinking no routine is part of the problem. Maybe bad idea. Do you always wake baby at the same time in the morning? I usually just let her wake up whenever she does and that can range from 6 to 8.

Thanks Pentel. I am glad to hear the crying when waking up from a nap thing, she does that in the afternoon and always thought she needed more but always wakes up after 30min. I will try to get her back to sleep after that one. Her new thing now is falling asleep while feeding as she is sleeping so bad in the day, so she does not feed enough and then creates a vicious circle. Going to have to try a routine during the day and then try your nap time routine too.

Thanks SA Babe I think that could be some of the problem, she is not in a routine. I have just been demand feeding. I have been trying to push her towards 4 hr feeds but don't think it's working. She can do about 3:30 but will only do about 10 min each side (if lucky). One Mom on the forum has said you should be careful doing doing 4hr feeds when you EBF as could lower your milk supply and mine is dropping, now that could be stress too. I have heard of Cecile, think that could be an option.

Hi 2Blossom, I have just started going(3 times) and I really enjoy it. It is like a coffee morning but there is a midwife, from Cooper, that runs it so she is always there for questions and a scale if you would like to weigh your little one. It is every second Sun from 10:30. Sometimes they also have a guest speaker come and chat to us.

Hi Ladies I have just seen this thread. I am very interested in going to this but is it a workshop, as in you have to go for that time or can you just arrive at any time. It's just that I can only get there for about 10:30. Can anyone help with more info. Thanks xx
