You must go and speak to the teacher who you think wrote this about your son, have a face to face meeting. At the moment, you're only guessing it was her/him. You are entitled to know exactly what happened and why this was written, and this can only be achieved if you have a proper meeting. Sorry for what you are going through - moving house & relocating is a VERY stressful time. Please don't worry too much - your child is only 5 years old, he has his whole educational life in front of him! Thank you for the reply, I have been going crazy. It has been confirmed it was infact only her. I am six hours flight away and can't speak to her personally even if I could, I won't, she doesn't deserve a talk! I am too hurt and furious at the moment. I did however talk to the principal who first kept on apologizing for what went wrong and how he wasn't aware she wrote this and will look into this, then blamed the new headmaster for unnecessarily fishing for something, I told him now you unnecessarily have given him something so No thank you for that. I told him in future any recommendation will not go from this teacher who has no respect for her profession and who was infact only two months with my son and was somewhat vindictive and never ever spoke to me in person to say such about my son, despite me speaking with her almost every other day and three personal meeting with me and my husband I am a very easy mother, I would take anything said by the teacher about my son's behavior or attitude very seriously,, he said I am really sorry I have never had you or your family in my office ever, never have I heard a complain about your son, infact I think he isn't what is written here,, yes I told him I knew about him being less independent in class, infact we were working on it, but the rest is just Bull. Anyways I don't expect him to take any action other than "speak" with her and she will do the same with other parents I am certain, I wasn't the only parent who didn't approve of her btw. I will however raise this concern with Gems main office and file a complaint with ADEC. I hope they look into it, I have had four very trained teachers with my son and never have I had to go through with this. My son was sitting across the table listening to what was said, he is 5, he came out and said Mama I am sad. I would need to work with him more so he forgets what was said about him in front of him, as a parent I am hurt and damaged. I hope no other parent goes through this! edited by Apach on 15/01/2015

I have been having garlic mayo daily.. 6 weeks only, but the only think I want is chicken with garlic mayo.. Raw eggs dint click my mind.. For mayo I did some online research and it says the commercial store bought is fine, like helman's (excuse the spell error) because it is made with pasteurized eggs and the production it goes through, the thing with homemade or fresh made is you can not be sure about the eggs, unless you get the pasteurized ones. I think it is okay. With the Labenese restaurant is, they make it fresh :/

Yes I had a doubt because it does look fluffy like egg whites. Thank you! I will definitely avoid it then, I think I'd prefer making at home without the eggs. Crazy cravings!

If he was driving so badly then why on earth would you want to get back into his taxi. I wouldn't be offended by a taxi driver asking for payment rather than expecting him to trust a total stranger to come back. Also, whilst it may be only 8dhs to you, that is part of the amount he needs to make up each day, so isn't a tiny amount to him. Think you need to wind your neck in to be honest, you sound like the one in the wrong! You know what, now that you have said that, I just had a thought, you are so right. I, who was picking my son up from nursery, when I got a call from the reception that he was unwell and had to go to Al Noor right after, even after getting the taxi parked on the gate. And after letting the poor man go. I carried my toddler in my lap to almost a km to find a cab, because the nursery is wee off the main road, I should have have just apologized to him, he had all the right to "not ask but shout for 8 dhs" and not wait, even though he knew my last destination was Al Noor and that amount does mean a lot to him, but my son with a 40 fever could wait, because I make more money and I need to wind my neck. Thank you for the lesson, I needed that.

I need a great restaurant recommendation, the food has to be great, any continental buffet, the ambience should be romantic. I am thinking BBQ al Qasr, but there are no good reviews on the food just the setting, I wouldn't want to throw all that money just for a romantic Gazebo. Help! I need to make the reservations by tonight. If it is in AbuDhabi, I 'd go for dinner, if in Dubai I 'd go for a lunch buffet. Any suggestion, timeout is giving me a spin.

Dr. Qais Rasheed Hameed at Al-Noor Airport Road. I am in love with this Guy. He is the best listener there is! Has a bit of a patient crowd but yo'd love him for sure.

So I am a Dubai Residence Visa Holder but we live in Abu Dhabi, when DH got a new offer in Abu Dhabi we shifted, they don't refresh your residence Visa, only the Employees and now I recently got my file opened, with a bit of a hassle, all they needed was a letter from one of the licensing authority (who sat on the same floor and issues the actual Licenses) that I have never opened a file in Dubai and the other documents required. The best think I 'd suggest is to make a trip to the Dubai's Licensing Department, no one answers the phone even if they do, most of the people on Abu Dhabi desk do not speak much of English. I had to take four trips just to get my file opened. Good luck! edited by Apach on 18/12/2011

Hi All, I am looking for Arabic retail staff for a shop in Abu Dhabi, can anyone suggest where I might start looking? Are there any recruitment agencies that deal with this, it's a completely new area for me. TIA! Shouldn't you try the newspaper? Or print an Ad. for it. that might help.

the american center http://www.americancenteruae.com/ has a great speech pathologis Ms Alia there that can help. It is hard to tell with children this age what is hearing and speech and language, or something else. The American center will send your son for tests to rule in or out hearing as well. Good luck and know, you are not alone. the best thing to do is get some answers so it can help both you and your child to be successful. good luck Hugs and kisses! I was told by the stars special needs center for kids. Heard anything about them?

Hey there, my son is 2 years and 3 months old, the thing is, I see he is a bright kid, picks up things easily and understand what we tell him, sings every cartoon song or nursery rhyme in his own babble lingo, loves running around playing with care, I can see he is a bright kid well he is a troublesome two too can't deny that, the issue is, he isn't speaking too much, just around 10 words all together he babbles a lot but no actual words, he doesn't go to nursery yet but we try almost everything at home, has books with colors all kinds of toys that speak, almost everything that helps kids in learning, but it doesn't seem to be working. I was recently asked by a doctor to see a speech therapist, I am considering that A LOT but I have been also advised to see an ENT if he has a hearing problem. HE also rejects solid foods, doesn't want to eat, automatically chokes on it, sometimes I think he just fakes it just doesn't want to chew, just rice or breads, stage two foods mostly, I have to be very creative to feed him. I haven't been so down in my life, I feel that sometimes it even maybe frustrates him when I see him pointing, trying to tell me what he wants. Anyone who has any experience with this, please please let me know how to go on about it, also I want to know which hospital would be best, I haven't been in Abu dhabi for long, just know about AL-Noor air port road Love the pediatrician there but it is too far for me, I 'd really appreciate if anyone gives me any idea about a good hospital here. I live by the Corniche.
