Dear all! First of all my best wishes to you. A question: we have a 17-month baby boy who goes to nursery downtown, we both work as parents. When our boy is sick (which happened already 4 times since he goes to nursery as of September), one of us has to take off from work to care for our boy. I know that there are home nursing agencies who can come to your house to provide best care to your child when parents go to work, it is quite expensive though, so I was wondering, whether an insurance exists that covers these costs (or part of the cost)? Many thanks for any tips/information. If this insurance does not exist, any recommendation on agencies that do provide this service? I used the registered nurses provided by 800doctor and was very satisfied. Some insurances do reimburse under nursing care offered provided the reason is strong.

Hi everyone, My friend is looking for a temporary nurse in Dubai that is DHA registered. Advice anyone? Thank you Kind of a late reply but I have used the nursing care of 800doctor and was very satisfied. She came for the stipulated hours and was a registered nurse. I have used their nurses many times.

Ladies, I have been getting abnormal PAP results for the last few years. I get regular PAP tests every 6 months and majority of them come back with level 1 abnormality . I have had colposcopies as well but the doctor couldn't see any abnormal cells, the issue seems to be inside the uterus canal which makes it more difficult to detect and follow up :( I am happy with my doctor but feel like I need a second or third opinion... I am 37 and still want to have babies... this has become really emotional and difficult to deal for me.. Has anyone had similar issues? Any doctors you may recommend in Dubai? Thanks a lot! Would definitely recommend Dr.Vineeta at Lifeline Hospital. Such a reassuring doctor.

I delivered at Latifa Hospital 3 times because I didnt want to experience the "money making tricks" all practiced by private hospitals. The entire process is very transparent in terms of costs. They're too busy to hold your hand, and you need to do your own research on sites like Mothering.com so you can ask them meaningful questions, but their staff have helped me through 3 equally challenging natural deliveries. They can also process UAE birth certificates in Arabic and English on site, so no need to hire a service like Baby Steps or go to Baraha Hospital. The next cheapest hospital for delivery in Dubai is Al Zahra Hospital in Barsha. Medcare Hospital in Al Safa is nice as long as your insurance covers most of the cost. Their drs tend to order tests which my insurance doesnt cover, and I pay exactly what I was charged at a mid-level private hospital in Texas. Hi Apricot, I delivered one of my babies in Latifa Hospital (normal delivery) but my experience was not the best. Waiting long hours for your appointment, no personalized care whatsoever!! The amount I spent was more than what I spent for my other baby I delivered at Lifeline Hospital Jebel Ali. Infact I got better personal attention. I had researched Al Zahra too but it was much more than Lifeline Hospital. Guess everyone has different experiences. ?

Hi Ladies, Has anyone delivered at jebil ali lifeline hospital? Or had any pregnancy experiences there? My insurance covers this hospital but im really unsure about them, when i discussed what pain relief they give for labor the doctor said epidural, no gas and air!! I've also had other experiences that make me nervous. Thanks Hi Lux, I delivered at Lifeline Hospital Jebel Ali and had a fantastic experience. I chose gas for pain relief throughout and when I had complication I was given epidural out of my choice. I really liked the Delivery Suite and the care was very personalised. The customer care is superb. I would never think twice as Im also not comfortable in very big hospitals. They also allowed my husband in during my labor. They gave lovely giveaway diaper bags with goodies for my baby also. All in all no issues what so ever.

hi ladies I have had a spasm on my lower back. iv been to the A&E got few scans and pain killers they said I was fine. many months down the line my back is worse than ever!!!! does anyone know any specialists in the UAE that I can go to Have you tried Physiotherapy sessions? They make a world of a difference. You could call 800doctor. The doctor will assess your condition in your home and if the Dr advises then even have physiotherapy sessions at home. Alternatively you could visit the Orthopaedic at Lifeline Hospital Jebel Ali.
