You can not change from one curriculum to another after November 15th. Say from British to American. You can not change like curriculum schools after January 1st.

I need a live in maid. I have tried Howdra - late December the latest, Explorer no longer has a phone number. I have had to go back to work due to changes in income and I am deserate for a house keeper as my husband expects the same service as he was receiving before I went to work. I am a wreck. I know many many women who can do it all, I admit I am not one of them. Sob story over, if you can any recomendations on agencies (have done exhastive searches on here) or actual people would be so appreciated and I can say will keep me from losing it in Dubai. :)

The Bilo of the Private Education law, article 52 deals with tuition refunds. The MOE is very specific about how much schools must refund. We are into the 2nd month of school if the go into November, I believe there is no refund due.

Hello everyone, I would very much appreciate your assistance with the following question: Is it legal for your employer to “charge” you for weekend days when you submit your leave? i.e. if you take leave from Thursday to Sunday can they take 4 days of leave away even though you do not work on weekends? I really appreciate someone with a good knowledge of the labor law to give me their input. I am having a bit of trouble understanding the labor law document.

This is very late to be looking for a seat at an elementary school in Dubai. You may have to take a year in a school that you are not crazy about and then apply at a top tier school at the first part of 2012 when many registrations open. My expert advice is to take a seat where ever you find it and remember your child is quite young and nothing will be detrimental to his education at this point. Then when registrations open early next year apply so that you are first on the waiting list and not last on the waiting list. I do this for a living, please take whatever spot you can get at this point.

OK just got back from the cinco de mayo event. Great food from several rest's, a huge castle super slide (flow up) a mechinacle bull, very slow and well padded no child fell off, jumping castle and great music. Hope everyong gets a chance to try it, it is still nice this evening and hopefully tomorrow. I had been looking all week for something to do.

Well you could go to a less expensive school and have lot to complain about. I have had dealings with a lesser school and believe me the fees are worth it. Check other fantastic Dubai schools and you will see the DAA fees are on par
