Thanks Emurella for your reply. I think I should take the ParisPass. One more advise needed ladies regarding disneyland. Should we buy the tickets for both parks. DS is 4 years old. DH and I are least interested in the scary roller coaster rides. And in anyway we will not be able to cover both the parks in one day. It's no way you would be able to cover both parks in one day without feeling you got run over by a train. Just do the main one, although the studio one got a lot of fun things for 4 year olds too. You sure need more than one day! We spent 3 days and managed to see it all

So I use a cleaning company and they always send me the same lovely girl! After having a conversation with her today she told me that the contract she signed in Philippines, with some agency, was for AED1500 per month. Upon her arrival in Dubai the cleaning company made her sign another contract for only AED900 per month. Can she leave the cleaning company (she's been there for 8 months) and go work else where? She already paid AED8000 in Philippines for visa costs and to come over etc but the cleaning company owner is now saying the company paid for the visa and if she wants to leave she needs to pay AED8000 again. If she can't leave now, after 8 months, can she leave after completing her first year? Also, is it legal for the company to keep these loyal workers' passports?? Any advice? I feel like not using this company again, I think it's disgusting how they lure people with a "good" salary and pay them a lot less once they arrive in Dubai!

If she wants to work you have to pay her, with the holiday pay on top of that. Plus the ticket. In the end it will save you the hassle of finding someone else for that month, so should make it easier for you!

Best to it the right and healthy way and the weight will stay off! I have 2 jobs, also working full time but I've managed to loose 23kg in 5 months. It can be done, just put your mind to it and go for it 100%

I work in the medical industry myself and the only GP I would use is dr Nadhim Mohd at symbiosis, silicon oasis. A bit out of the way yes. He is very thorough and great. I visited him for the first time last year for a thyroid problem but he still did a full body check up and he actually found out I had a problem with my heart which I need up in hospital with. Thanks to him this problem was diagnosed before any major consequences. Also, I recently had surgery and the wound looked like it got infected. The doctors I worked with just told me to take more antibiotics, it would have been the 4th course in 5 weeks! Dr Nadhim insisted on doing a swab test to find out exactly what's causing it and then to prescribe medication. Like I said, very thorough, very professional. From a medical point of view, by far the best in Dubai.

Stand your ground! You are right and LL can't increase the rent without 90 days' notice! Take it up with RERA, don't be bullied by a greedy LL

I'm planning to book a photo session of my newborn baby, siblings and family and not sure which studio. I found this site: www.babyangelsphotography.com which looks really amazing but I have never heard about it. Has anyone done pictures there? Hi Whiterose I'm a family photographer based in Dubai, but I cover all of the gulf (mainly royal families) and the UK. You can contact me at avdm at me dot com and I will send you more information.

Anyone had breast augmentation done before? I had this surgery 3 weeks ago in my home country and was wondering how long the healing process took? I've heard different things and I'm still experiencing pain, especially when laying down. Some say its normal and that it will be like this for about 12 weeks after the surgery. I had a breast lift at the same time so perhaps that's one of the reasons also?? I did but didn't experience any pain at all and went back to work in 2 days Lots of itching and couldn't lie on my front for a few weeks Everyone is different I suppose. When you say laying down do you mean on your front or back? Back and side! Wouldn't even try to lay on my front! You're lucky, I was in bed for one week after the surgery, most painful thing I've ever done!

Hi ladies, I have gone through many rounds of IUI, IVF and ICSI, unfortunately with no success, so our next step is adoption. I literally have no idea where to begin though. I have heard so many conflicting stories about how difficult/easy the process is so I would love to hear from ladies in the know. We have no preference which nationality the child or children are, we just want to be a family. Any advice would be so gratefully received! As far as I know only emirati, Muslim families are allowed to adopt in the uae. Not sure how correct this is. Thank you ?

Personally I would not like to work for someone who is a friend, for several reasons. I would be concerned about being able to keep the friendship and the professional relationship separate. Especially in case the work relationship is under strain, will you be able to maintain the friendship? And if your friend's company won't be able to retain you for whatever reason, he/she might find it hard to let you go and that might affect the business. If you are unhappy where you are by all means do look for something better, it's not pleasant working in an environment you don't like and people you don't get along with. Also, if you want to have a job with opportunities, get your C.V out there, and hopefully something will come along. Yes I'm thinking to look around, but maybe I will just keep this job in my friends company as a back up, just I case I don't find something else straight away! I have some time, so luckily I'm not in a rush.... I can't see myself working for my current company much longer, I have only 8 weeks left with them!, ?

I know this subject has been discussed many times but I would like to know up to date info . Does the landlord still have to give 90 days notice to increase your rent and if so where will I find official documentation to support this please ? Yes, I've had this discussion with Rera 2 weeks ago. It's still 90 days notice for any increase.
