Relax for now. Take a home test and make sure. If it's positive, drop me an email. Acom I worked in the medical field before and I helped someone that was in the same situation. I will help you to find a good, reliable doctor that you can go and see. Then you can take it from there and decide what you want to do.

I was taken for a big ride today! I'm fuming! I usually do my nails at Nadia beauty style on szr and I'm always happy with my nails. Today, I was pushed for time and decided to visit Sheba beauty in silicon oasis, booked myself in for a gelish mani and pedi, on their website it's listed as "gelish manicure and pedicure combo -165" Now the description says it all... Or so I thought! They told me oh they have an offer, 130 for both and you get a free 20 min foot massage. I though oh great, sounded good! Went there, had my 130aed offer and went to pay... 310aed please madam! Whattttt?? Yeah the offer is not for gelish, the gelish is extra. They should have told me when I booked first of all. Second of all, tips and toes, which is far more upmarket than this little hidden salon in silicon oasis charges 210aed for the same! And all of a sudden the combo they have on their website doesn't include a manicure and pedicure, it's just a gelish overlay. Just got a call from the manager that was very defensive, I explained to her that I'm basically comparing it with what I normally get for 145 (that includes removal also!) from Nadia, or for 210 from tips and toes. And the cherry on the cake is they've done a horrible job!! It's uneven and full of bubbles!!! Even if I've paid 10aed elsewhere, I would've complained. Probably the worst set of gelish I've had in my life... They will definitely not see me again. Especially after the conversation I had with the manager. I don't say the client is always right, but I feel they have to make it clear if they are going to charge you extra for a manicure and pedicure that should be included in the combo, as per their website! Rant over, still annoyed!

I went to Best time beauty salon, dodgy little salon near Rigga road, but couldn't be happier. I paid 299, they had an offer on at the time but my friend went recently and paid 399. Any hair length. My hair is curly and frizzy and with the Botox the frizz is gone and it's just nice and wavy, and easier to style! edited by Avdm159 on 21/11/2014

No, and sorry to hi jack your post, but talking about teenagers.... I live in Silicon Oasis and last week I was parking my car in the choitram basement and saw a group of teenagers from Gems Wellington going into the store room and just helping themselves to cold drinks and stuff. Absolutely disgusting! When the staff came they just ran away with the stolen goods.

Sounds like you just want someone to do it for free. I'm a professional photographer and all I can say is you get what you pay for. Your wedding is one day of your life and you're trying to get "some person with a good camera" to capture the day? I hope you have low expectations.......

I am planning to return, but don't want to go back to her place, looking to buy my own place. I rent my own properties in the UK and given the circumstances would not hesitate to give the deposit back. Then why didn't you spend the money to rent a serviced apartment? If you have some money of your own, I can't imagine why you'd rent a cheap, illegal room from a total stranger in Bur Dubai! Yeah, I agree Guinness2. Sure if I had the money to buy an apartment, I wouldn't rent a dodgy room from a stranger, in Bur Dubai of all areas! Nomand1, seems like you have a good stash so a small deposit shouldn't give you sleepless nights

Mobilink, by far the best one. If you go up in the one way system from satwa roundabout, at the end of the road you turn left and left again, to go back in the direction of the roundabout. As soon as you make the 2nd left turn you will see it on your right, green sign outside. Opposite the small mosque

Wise words AnonDubai. I think only time will show me if I'm making the right decision. We are not planning anything in the near future anyway, I feel there is no need to rush! I will keep you posted! He discussed the whole situation with his older sister (she is 49) and hopefully there will be an easier way to eventually introduce me to his family. Anyway, I will not go to the next step without meeting his parents! If I want to marry him i want his family to be there too. I will not do anything behind their back and I've made this very clear to him. So he is now trying to figure out as way to make it happen.

I am actually scared to continue with this relationship, after reading your comments. I appreciate your inputs and you are right, it will definitely be complicated. He wants to meet my family yes. I have explained to him that I would like to meet his family too, if they wouldn't accept me now, they will not accept me in the future. He is willing to do that. Like he said, at the end of the day he wants to be with me and it's something he will explain to his family. We can only hope for the best, hopefully they will understand that we love each other dearly. He is definitely now married, I have been to his house on a regular basis when his parents are out. I have met some of his sisters and brothers, not all though. IF, I say IF, we decide to get married eventually, would it make any difference if we do it in the UK? Will I have more rights? It's really hard to think about it, and indefinitely don't want to end up in a situation where I will have to give up my kids one day! After your advice I have decided to put all plans in hold until I know where I stand exactly with right etc in the future. In fact, there is no rush. If we are meant to be together, we will be. Only time will tell.

Can't believe the mothers expression in the end, the father seems like he is having some kind of fake panic attack and she is just sitting there smirking!!! What a waste of skin!!! I feel so angry after watching this. I hope the authorities remove the little girl from their care ASAP. I can see where this is heading when she becomes a toddler!!!!!!

Hi ladies, Could any of you recommend a good dr for a teenage girl? My step daughter is 13 & is having a lot of problems with mood swings, hurting herself & generally feeling really low, She is seeing a therapist but always sees a different dr every time her parents take her to the clinic, I thought it might be a good idea for her to see someone regularly, who she can trust, Do any of you have any ideas? Recommendation s for GP & therapists would be really helpfull, Thanks x Lifeworks in Al Wasl. Ive been there when I went through a rough patch and they helped me tremendously!

i did that recently. My visa was cancelled by my old company on 10 May and I travelled to SA on 12 May and no one batted an eye lid. I was terrified I was going to be stopped. And i have loans and credit cards too & was getting messages from the bank (as my visa was going to expire on 23 May anyway - i just cancelled it few days early as I resigned from my job) I did carry my new employment contract with me just in case but no one asked for anything. Thanks, I will just carry a copy of my new contract then. Just in case they ask me! I will also have my return ticket to show that I will be coming back! Fingers crossed I have my new visa by then! x Thanks!

Hi ladies, We watched the movie blended the other day and we are dying to go stay in the same hotel and take our little ones (2 and 4 years). Has anyone stayed in that hotel? Is it really nice? Thanks x Hi yes, it's amazing. I grew up in that area and we used to spend a lot of time there. Right next to sun city is Pilanesberg, the nature reserve where part of the movie was fimed. It's very nice too. The lost city is quite expensive, but they have cheaper options at the resort too, if the lost city is out of your price range try to look at the sun city hotel or the cabanas. It's all on the same grounds and part of the resort!!

True, even with gel polish you need someone who knows what they're doing, otherwise it will just peel off! I have only 2 ladies in Dubai that I go to, Zenny, she is at Lorita salon in sky court towers near outlet mall and the other one is Mariam at Nadia beauty style on sheikh zayed road! I'm quite particular so I don't mind the drive, at least I know my nails will look gorgeous and it won't peel off!! I've been using the one on sheikh zayed and as a bonus for the last year they've been doing groupon vouchers for 89aed, plus 50 for removal. So I think it's quite a bargain for gelish mani and pedi for 140aed

In fact, I have not been without gel on my nails for the past 3 years. I had very weak nails and it's now in a much better condition since I started using gelish/shellac! I change the gel every 2 weeks and replace it straight away with a new layer. I had endless problems in the beginning when I used the hard gel, it ruined my nails totally from all the filing etc. But for the past 3 years no issues with gelish!

A gel will destroy your nails, I had lovely long nails then had gelish manicure done before my holiday 2 weeks ago, just got back and after peeling it all off my nails are really soft and have to cut them down. They will soon grow back though, if you don't mind re-growing them once your back then I'd say go for it as it's worth it as stays on for so long! They won't ruin your nails in the long run unless you have them done all the time, as a one off its fine :) Peeling it off? Of coz it will ruin your nails. Gel needs to be soaked off, not peeled off!!! OP, no if you do it once or twice it will not ruin your nails. Don't go for hard gel, go for gelish. But soak it off if you want to remove it, don't peel it off like some people!
