Thank you, ladies, for the suggestions. Certificate and Diploma courses at CEE in Dubai sound interesting. I would love to hear a feedback from someone who has done them. If anyone from you, ladies, did the interior design course at CEE or know someone who did it, pls share your experience. I would greatly appreciate any feedback. Thank you! :)

I am with you on this one, I haven't heard of a well respected course in Dubai either.. I would like to work in the industry and I prefer to study here rather than doing an online course.

I went yesterday to the mobile phone shop in Dubai Mall (lower ground, opposite Index living furniture store) to have the smashed IPhone screen replaced. Got an quotation of 250dhs, they didn't have a spare screen on stock though, have to go back today. Apparently it takes just a few mins.

You can find La Mer in Bloomingdales and Harvey Nichols. I get mine from DDF, it's cheaper.

There is Paws Pet Planet at Dubai Investment Park which offers training courses. I haven't used them for training but my dog attends the day care and was assessed by their trainer who was very helpful and knowledgeable.

I was in Jordan a few years ago for Xmas and New Year and had a very lovely weather! We spent a few days in Petra which was amazing, then headed to Aqaba to enjoy lovely beaches. From Aqaba we drove to Dead Sea and spent a few days there, swam in Dead Sea and did lot's of sightseeing too. The weather was a bit unpredictable though which we didn't mind. When it was colder, we did sightseeing, when the weather became hot we just enjoyed beaches and Dead Sea. Happy holidays!

I have 5 months old chihuahua girl and I am having the same concern about where to board her. I also have considered Woof but honestly can't imagine her staying in kennel. She is very sociable, needs an attention and is very scared from other dogs. I wanted to take her for holidays with me but can't because she can't travel until 30 days from rabbies vaccination and also I don't want to put her through the stress of coming back to Dubai as cargo..

I need to have my Cartier serviced too but I am not ready to spend 1800 dhs for new battery. It's insane! Is there some special 10 years service package? I think Rivoli would be authorised as well and most probably would be cheaper. I have just spent there 800 dhs to have my Omega serviced and battery replaced. Not sure though if they accept other brands for service than those they are exclusive agent for..

Very sad :( If i remember well, those German Shep puppies were being treated in Dog Walk in Jumeirah for very similar deformities due to malnutrition. Unfortunately, I can't foster but I would be happy to donate a bit of cash for vet bills to help these poor animals :(

I have seen adds about second hand crates for sale on dubizzle, not sure though what sizes there were. I have also seen some medium/large crates in ACE and they were not that expensive.

Thanks, Dubaistar for a suggestion. I have asked the security staff but they are clueless. I have given the samples of the light bulbs to my friend who is traveling to Germany and hoping he will get them there. I just can't believe they are not available in UAE market..?!

I have a bit silly question - I live in Al Tajer Residence and need to replace light bulbs in the kitchen and also in the closet but i can't find the bulbs of the same size (which would fit) anywhere. I have already tried Ace, Ikea, Carrefour but no luck.. I have checked with neighbors but none of them needed to replace them yet... I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you, ladies! :)

I thought all dogs have to arrive to UAE as cargo. Does Lufthansa allow you to travel with your dogs in the cabin? I was planning to take my small dog this summer with me but then was told while coming back to Dubai she would have to travel as cargo..

I am very sure that none of the Jumeirah park villas have been handed over yet. The first phase will be handed over at the end of 2011, the rest of the villas in 2012.
