It is not done at the embassy it is done here http://www.blsindiavisa-uae.com/ Please be aware of the different passport photo size for the Indian visa process...these should be 1 inch x 1 inch not standard photo size (and yes it will be rejected for this and any other typo etc!) Ah, thanks for trying CouchPotato. I felt very hopeful with your link, but unfortunately the link just leads to https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/tvoa.html... which does not allow for processing of United Kingdom passport holders. Very strange! I'll keep trying.

Hello! My husband (UK passport holder) and I (US passport holder) are going to India next month. It seems that UK passport holders cannot apply through the e-Visa website. How does a UK passport holder acquire a visa? Any experience? Thank you in advance. -S

Hello! Nope, unfortunately there is no way to expedite a passport renewal. The last option of an expiring passport is to get an extension. If the extension period is over then it's pretty much no travel for her then. It's also the obligation of the passport holder or in the nanny's case, for her employer to have checked the passport first before booking the nanny's ticket. Just a thought. Thank you very much, fellow HP fan. I appreciate your help. :)

Good Morning :) My boss's Filipina nanny needs her passport renewed. Her extenstion expires on the 1st of July 2015 and she just received her appointment for renewal, but it's not till the 28th of July. She is meant to be traveling this summer with my boss's family. Does anyone know of any way to expedite the renewal process? I have tried contacting the Consulate without luck, so I thought I'd give it a go here! If I found an answer for my boss, it would make me look really good at this new job of mine! :) Thank you in advance for your help! :)

Hello EW! Does anyone have any recommendations for where to buy outdoor cushions (for outdoor dining chairs) or where exactly to have them made? I don't like the options at Ace. Thank you in advance!

Is it not cruel to keep dogs in apartments? Do they not need access to gardens? Do you just let them run about on the balcony? It's actually annoying and offensive to be asked this question over and over. First of all, I rescued my dog from the side of the road in Dubai, where a friend saw an Arab man throw her out of the back of a truck. She was skin and bones and we took care of her and nursed her back to health. She's a "desert dog" and not very big. Also, I live in a big enough apartment for her to run around and chase the cat. She gets walked 5-6 times every day, including 2 30-minute walks which me and my husband pay for while we're at work. She goes on camping trips with us and running with us when it's cool enough. She gets fed well and proper veterinary care when she needs it. She has many toys and sleeps in our bed with us. So no, it is in no way cruel to keep her in an apartment. Not to mention the fact that the alternative would have been for her to be on the streets, starving. I wish people who didn't have experience with this kind of thing wouldn't judge others for being "cruel".

Oh I was talking about the actual time the game will be taking place, which will be 2:30am on Monday morning/Sunday night. I dont' know if/when it will be aired, I'm going to try to stream it online.

From what I understood, the game won't be staring until 2:30am on Monday morning (or Sunday night however you want to look at it).

I just really wish Dubai would make it easier on good dog owners, who happened to rescue an abused desert dog puppy from the side of the road. How is it better for strays to be running around than for me to get her spayed and make sure she's healthy, picked up after, adn on a lead? So frustrating.

Thanks Emma! I'm hoping that most apartment buildings will "not notice" since it's hard for most places to get residents anymore. :)

I know pets aren't allowed at JBR by law, but I'd be willing to accept a place that would even "turn the other way" when they see dogs coming. I just have one small dog and my company wants to move to the Marina or Barsha or JBR and I'm nervous about it.
