I have also seen kiosks in Festival Center where they definetely sell Macroons by piece and various flavours. There is a store called Piece of Cake there as well that sell macaroons! I have emailed Piece of Cake about one week back but didn't get any response so far. Will call them and see. Didn't know about the kiosks in FC or Vivel...will try both places..Thanks a lot ladies!! By any chance, does anyone know a place I can get some cake pops or push pops too??

Try Shakespears or Paul I tried both. Paul says that I can't decide on what flavors I want. I can only order boxed sets of dozens with a variety of flavors. Shakespeare does only macaroon towers. I'm surprised that it's this difficult to find some place for a macaroon order in Dubai!!! Does anyone even know a person who can make home made macaroons???? Pleeeease!!! edited by babyluv on 22/09/2013

I know most kids would nap in the afternoon but my daughter is the opposite. She wakes up around 8 and takes a nap around 11am. After lunch she is very active and doesn't feel sleepy until going to bed at night. I know that someday I would have to change her daily routine so that she naps after lunch. But my worry is she might find it difficult to change her routine PLUS get adjusted to school at the same time. So I thought first to get her to like going to school then gradually change her schedule so by around the September term or the Jan term, she can start the morning session school.

Hi I'm looking for cupcakes wtih light & fluffy frosting (not the butter icing frosting) for my husband's birthday party. I got them from House of Cakes last year but since then they have moved to International City, which is too out of the way (And they charge 125/- for delivery to Dubai, which I feel is too pricey). My Google search came up with Twinkle Cup Cakes. Has anyone tried this? Or any other suggestions by anyone???

Hi I recently got my DD's 1st birthday cake done by Anna Hayworth of Scurmptious Cupcakes. I can HIGHLY recommend her work! I wanted a jungle friends theme on a choc cake with choc frosting. I asked her to make it look girly & she made a beautiful cake with lovely pastel colors. And the cakes tasted heavenly too! You can check out her site http://www.scrumptiousdubai.com/Scrumptious/Home.html As for caterers, you can try the Lime Tree cafe.. edited by babyluv on 12/12/2011 To add something more, I also got some choc cupcakes done by Anna which were superb too! You can ask her to make cupcakes with Shaun the Sheep on them... edited by babyluv on 12/12/2011

Hi lucky4uitsme: I've been searching in Dubizzle for the past 1 week (lost out on a great deal of 40 books for AED 60!). The latest ad is for 5 books for AED 50, which comes to AED 10 per book. I feel that this is a bit pricey for a used book. And also I want to buy in bulk, atleast 10 books at once. Hi abby_n_christina: The flea market sounds like a good place, do you know when the next one will take place?? Thanks to both the ladies!

I understand your point kiwispiers, but it's EXTREMELY difficult for me to feed my DD her meals! She just eats 3-4 spoons & shuts her mouth completely. But if I give her a bite of our "adult" food, she loves it. And she has hated drinking her formula from the time we started her on it. Infact she hated breastmilk too and weaned herself off when she was just 5 months old. After many visits to the doctor, worrying & heartache I realised (or rather my mom revealed to me), that I too had gone through this same behaviour when I was DD's age. Sorry about the long answer. I just thought maybe if I add sugar, she'll enjoy her milk :(

My daughter just completed 11 months and I was wondering how to go about with introducing cow's milk when I came across this thread. The info given by everyone is very helpful, specially the detailed one by Daisy92. One quick question, did you add sugar to the cow's milk when it was given to them? Is it ok to start giving them sugar/ salt in their food and drinks?

Thanks ladies for your suggestions! I checked the Mothercare stores in DCC and Oasis Center, but will now check out the Dubai Mall one. @TwoKids: I too feel that spending 250 bucks for something that they'll use only for a couple of months is not worth it. @Moonbean: That's so generous of you to offer me the swimsuits! First let me check out the suggested stores and if I don't have any luck, I'll take up your kind offer. Thanks again!

Hi ladies, I want to take my 8-month-old girl for swimming during the summer. But I don't know where I can buy reasonably priced swimwear for her (I don't want to spend a lot because she'll outgrow it in a second). I've looked in Mothercare but they said they don't carry swimsuits. I've seen swimwear in the Just Kidding web site for around AED 250/-. Does anyone know of any other choices here in Dubai?? Thanks heaps!
