fry chicken, mushrooms and if you like some veggies, salt and black pepper. In the pan with all the stuff add some cream (or some flour then milk). Let thicken. Its nice to put some whole grain mustard in at the very end also, gives a nice flavour. Serve with rice. I never tried the mustard, I'll give it a shot.. thanks

Hello I have had it done twice. The first time i went to Dr Jaffar Khan who was expensive but i had had surgery with him so trusted him. The 2nd time i used a voucher from a well known online special offer site and went to the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons at Dubai Healthcare City. They were very good and i only paid 700AED my friend has used the British Lasik clinic too and she said they were great and offered a free top up after the intitial Botox. The offer is on the website again but it is with the facial clinic and i have no imformation regarding them Hope this helps :-) I have a question for you the 700 AED was for which areas?? I had one for my crowfeet (near my eyes) done and it costed me $600 WITH DISCOUNT.... and i still need to do my forehead... but I am waitign for the first botox to wear off before I repeat it..

Ladies ... Good Morning :-) Thank you very much for the advice Sarhanne and bodabz .. i knew I wil get lovely feedback here :-) ... I will defenitly take your advice Sarahanne, much apprecaited and will also look into the terrace appartments too .... I have actually posed this question because on Dubizzle two weeks ago I've seen one T house for 165 and another for 160 .. so that is why I got some hope that maybe in 2 months time when everybody is settled and so on that we can get something around the 150 mark ... but bodabz experience makes me wonder ... especially if there is a waiting list for GCE ;-) ... I do appreciate more advice on this and will update this thread whenever I have more developments especially as bodabz and me seem to be in the same situation ;-) ... thank you ladies and have a great day ... Hi , we just moved to our townhouse... was adveristed for 190K but got it for 170K.. very nice, very good condition...

I don't think you'll get a townhouse in the East for under 175k, the market price seems to be around 180k. If you can get direct from owner, then at least you don't have to pay the commission, put a sign up at Choitram (at the Market), especially if you aren't in a hurry. You could also consider the Terrace Apartments (on the lake near the Marriot), some are the same size as a townhouse or larger and they seem to be going for 150k (actually there are some currently being advertised here on EW in the rentals). You may be able to drop 5-10k off the asking price of any if you can pay in one cheque too. Hope that helps. I absolutely LOVE living in the Green Community. I wouldn't live anywhere else! Hi sarahanne, we just moved to the Green Community a week a go , we liked it here, I am looking ot meet new people to help me out with treansion , questions etc... if you have time I would love to meet,..

This guy is annoying me for doign this to you.. urghhhhhh.. I really think he thinks you like him.. he has a crush on you... so even if you t ell your husband to tell him, he will ring the door when your husband is not home so you really didnt elminate the problem.. if your husband to tell him you really need to be standing right their with him so he knows its both of you saying "please stop".... if you have kids I would have recommended they greet him with water guns everytime he knocks at the door.. :)...

So i am asking where is the best place for a facial peel for anti=aging and pigmentation here? I know Dr.Hosney (?) is highly recommended but he is not always in Dubai thank you Where did you end going for the peel, I need some help with my pigmentation too..

I've only got the one, she's just changing schools and going into Y12, first year of IB Diploma. We were out at the Green Community whilst we were waiting for our container to arrive, but it was too far from her school in New Dubai for us to stay there, though we loved it there and go back to the Courtyard whenever we can. Maid service is the way to go :) We didn't move in to our house till our container had arrived, anyway, we were lucky, the company paid for our hotel stay.. Hi, so you liked it here thats good.... did u also like the school?

Hugs......I swear I had heard the same exact story from a lady I randlomly met (she was a physologist) in a plan traveling to Europe... found her husband with transactions that had properties in thaniland.. the only diffrence is that this lady's husaband travelled alot and he had claimed they were all business trips.. when she found out about the property, he also was on one of his trip.. according to her, she met her husband with their divorce papers at the airport.... I dont know your husband, but go with your guts, a woman's deep feeling (the bell) could never be wrong.... again, this was a random lady, it doesnt mean yr husband is doign something, it means there are crazy stories like this out there... I would diffently be furious if my husband did something like this to me... but thats only b/c he had never ever bought properties (or made huge transactions) without consultign with me.. go with your heart... I prayed for you the moment I saw your post... all the best...

Oh, good, Amalwaleed, I was going to put out a call for you in case you were putting your children in GCS, but I thought it might look too "stalky".. You are all so brave, cleaning your dirty houses from top to bottom, I'm afraid I just got onto a maid agency and got them in to do the brunt of it.. But I'm old, and fat, and have got bad knees and a bad back, you know.. edited by simpleasabc on 29/08/2011 Hi, yes kids are in the GCS :).. how about yr kids? which grades??house is horrible, tried the maid services but nothing available b/c of Eid holiday.... we will clean as much as we cna and get some professional help after Eid..

Welcome to Dubai. I think that your kids are too old for Mums and Tots. You will need to get in a cab (or hop on the metro) and go to Dubai Mall. That is a day out in itself - the aquarium, ice skating and Sega World to name few. It might be worth buying the Family Entertainer book for 2 4 1 vouchers. You could go to the movies at IBN Battuta Mall or Marina Mall. Take heart that your kids are old enough for some fun indoor activities. I have been here all summer with a baby and a 3 year old! Thank you for your kind words and nice ideas... I will look into that.. I also have a baby plus my other 2 older kids.... edited by amalwaleed on 29/08/2011

Card games, dominoes, jigsaws, colouring books....... the list is endless. My DD's are in their 20's and will still spend time playing traditional games and give technology a break. Yes I need to go buy some of these .. all our stuff are in a ocntainer.. I think what makes things worst is that we spend the whole day cleaning the house.. the house is sooo filthy its not even funny... we left our house in the states spotless for the renters and we come here and the house is sooo dirty its sad.... the kids tried the pool but it was soo hot they didnt last long... I also have an infant... I have to say that even though I knew it would be hot, Ididnt antiipate the feeling of this heat..

IT got to be legal.. if its legal in the US then it has to be legal in the middle east.. since in the middle east they ask for a freaking picture for you when u apply for a job ( pretty ridiculous)... so its got to be legal...

Sorry Shunnar Clinic. But seriously what rubbish!!! I bet they can't do it. They do botox and fillers and breasts but the nose is changing your natural look??? Ummmm what about everything else? I am sorry but rubbish like this acutally makes me angry. Such an insult to peoiple's intelligence! Maybe she is just too cautious to do it incase it goes wrong, you can hide your breasts to a certain extent if it went wrong but not your hooter! Rhinoplasty is an art, if you don't have it you don't have it. A Dr. needs to be able to know what will look good on someone's face shape, bone structure etc. Breasts are just a size/frame issue. Hence why Rhinoplasty is it one of the most expensive cosmetic surgeries, and it is always best to get it right first time. If it is botched, you can never go back and it is more difficult to correct as the nasal structure is weakened. VEry smart reply.. you stole the words from my mouth (an arabic say).. 100% agree... Nose jobs are ART.. its not stetching stuf togther, it crafting, you need an artist.. usually here inthe states, Dr. who performs nose jobs dont do anythign else.... Its plain STUIPD to say she doesnt want to change the natural look, when her job is changing natural looks.. thats what she does for living... just say, this is not my area of expertise.. period... good luck finding someone.. I want to do a Tummy tuck, and I will consider her b/c she has such great reviewes for tummies and breasts.... edited by amalwaleed on 15/08/2011

Awww.. Here you go thats the kind of response I was hoping for.. Thanks to all the Vain ladies out there... wheww.. I am glad they exisit in Dubai... I wrote asking about a tummy tuck before and someone replied that I should love the way I look.. WELL , with 3 little ones.. I DONT.. I want to go back to looking me... and I work out, so its not like I am a lazy bum.. b/c I am petite, but my stomach looks like I have been run over by a truck ONLY on the stomach area.. Plus I worked so hard in my life, time to look good.... So for the people who had fillers, which one did you use.. I am leaning towards Juverderm...

DH might be getting an offer from work to move to Virginia. Would love to know what you ladies think of Virginia and if there is anything I need to know. I think I would like Virginia beach as it seems its a bit warmer. TIA Hi Newbe.. We live in Virgina and about to move to Dubai.. my husband actucally left and we are suppose to leave when school finish here.. Virginia is FANTABOLOUS... I LOVE IT... Crime shrime,.. it depends in your area.. dont live in DC or Baltimore and u r fine.. Virginia is not just safe, but beautifull, people here are wonderfull and very very helpfull, there is a lot of diversity here, which makes it diffrent, unique.. we lived in Texas for a while (7 years, and my husband 15 yrs) and belive me there is no place like virginia... anyway.. we live in Fairfax county.. my kids go to Mosby woods, the school is literly 1 minute away from my house.. so I leave at 8:00 to drop them off and I am back at 8:05 (with standing in line to drop off).. great place.. we have a metro station near our place and best schools in the U.S... my husband as i said moved to Dubai and if it wasnot for the community around me, there is NO way I could make it alone with 3 kids and no family.. if u need more information please reach out again.. oh also, my husband says that Dubai is much more expensive than Virginia, I wouldnt know b/c I am not there.... let me know if u need more information.. we are renting our house too... so if u r interested let me know.. or if u just want to get more information about the state and where u could live, also I am glad to help.. best of luck.. you will love it...

So I heard that Lebanon is the Hollywood middle east in plastic surgery and that people travel from the gulf countries to get their surgery there... I live in the states, but will be locating to Dubai in June (when the kids finish their school)... I am DESPERATE for a tummy tuck, and cant do it here, b/c I have a 8 months baby and my husband is already in Dubai and i will need help after the surgery, so having it here is not an option.. So I was wondering if anyone had it in Lebanon... or how much does it cost in Dubai.. I heard good things about Dr Butaina Shunnar and Dr khan.. let me know.. I HATE MY BELLY!! edited by amalwaleed on 13/04/2011
