Hi! Does anyone else's child have molluscum? Which dermatologist did you see and what's your treatment plan? Cryotherapy doesn't seem to help my daughter. Poor thing is always so scared when she gets it done. Any info much appreciated.

Actually Amazon recently changed their shipping policy and ship ALOT of items direct to UAE through Aramex. If you make an Amazon.com account and make UAE your delivery address, they will clearly mark on the items when you search, whether they ship to UAE or not. I've bought a lot of things recently (small toys for DD, shoes for DD, some skincare serums) all shipped directly to my home or office address (not PO Box). Ok, thanks, need to look into it!

Thank you so much for your info - very useful. Time to go shopping! I was looking at scooters a couple of weeks ago for our daughter. Mini micros (2+ years) are also available from Beyond the Beach (various locations incl Meadows Town Centre and the SPinneys Centre on Al Wasl) and were on sale last week for 200 AED (blue and pink only). Usual price is about 325 or 350. You can also get them from Go Sports in Dubai Mall (but not the other Go Sport branches) or at Kidz Inc in Al Quoz, located in between the Porsche 2nd hand dealer and Lime Tree Café. The Maxi Micro is the one that costs 500+ AED. It is for 5+ year olds and has an adjustable handle bar and is much heavier. Mumzworld is an online shop that also sells scooters but I can't recall if they had the Mini Micros. Hope this helps.

I really like the Kerastese products. I do have the Oleo Relax Masque and use it quite often. It is expensive, but you only need very little of it. It leaves your hair silky and like Asti says, it smells amazing. I get my Kerastese products from the USA, much cheaper than here.

I also had problems with Masafi for weeks, not able to communicate with them, water not being delivered. Finally threw in the towel and switched to Nestle. So far I am very happy with Nestle. Something serious must be happening with Masafi. There are a lot of unhappy customers. They should at least let people know what is going on and not leave you hanging with no water.

Looking for a fun venue for my 5 year old daughter for September. If it wasn't for the humidity and heat I would do it outside. I'd like it to be fun suitable for both boys and girls. Besides Extreme Fun, Mini Monsters, anyone been to a great party or hosted one that they loved? TIA edited by Barbara19 on 12/06/2013

That's great news scorpion. I ended up saving the prescription just because it worked wonders for us. I do know and understand that the same thing might now work that well on another person. Dr. Ikramullah's writing on the RX is not the best to read so I'm sorry if I mispell some of the creams. So the first combination was 4 creams to be mixed up by pharmacist and used twice daily for a month: Urecare, Eurax, Lipotoase and Licoid. On top of that he suggested Mustella Stellotopia for one month or longer if needed. Also Fucidine cream and Alfacord for eczema in the creases for 2 weeks (this last part I was barely able to read) I've had this Rx since 3 years ago. Hope this makes sense and helps. Like I said this was something he prescribed not right away. We had to see him few times and then he put my DD on these stereoids. Good Luck! Hello Barbara I have gone to Dr. Ikramullah in the past for myself for some skin issues and he is definitely good. My DD was dignosed with Eczema a month back and as ususal the Ped prescribed Locoid which is the usual steroid they give in such cases. It did clear up but keeps coming back. So I moved to a homeopathy doctor where several of my friends have had their kids treated for eczema and its totally steroid free. Till now she is clear, but if this happens again I owuld certianly like to go to Dr. Ikramullah for consultation. Can you tell me what creams were included in the mixture. Do any of them contain steroids or antibiotics of any sort? If you recollect the names, at least I could google the contents before I decide to go to him. Thanks

We have a Suburban and it fits 5 car seats! Best part is it still has a huge trunk, you can fit a double stroller and a regular stroller at the same time. Very roomy car, highly recommend it :)

ASD always had KG1. It is not easy to get into ASD. You can't put your child on a waiting list way in advance like other schools, only a 1 year before he/she enters their school. If you fall into categories 1/2 or 3 you do have a chance. We are category 3 and my DD got offered a seat for KG1 at ASD, but we had her application in on the first day applications were to be submitted. Good Luck!

Sadly you will have to go to more than one shop, beause this is Dubai. Tavola sells all baking stuff, however it is more pricey. Crate and Barrell has great baking equipment, but they don't sell sprinkles, icing, glitter etc.. All the sweet stuff you will also find at Spinneys and other supermarkets.

I am pregnant with baby #3 and use Dr. Raj. Highly recommend her. She has been there the longest, very straight forward, will tell you honestly the good, the bad and the ugly, no sugar coating, which is what I like. The best is to pick a dr. book an apt and see for yourself.

That's crazy. I've also never been charged for a toner. Sorry to say this, but you got ripped off. I get highlights done, full head with cut and wash and blow dry, never more than 750AED. Sorry to hear your story. I would not go back there nor recommend it to anyone else.

Just wash it in regular soap or put in a dishwasher, and then sterilize in boiling water for few minutes. We had to buy a new dishwasher recently and this comes even with sterilizing function and UV rays, so when bubba #3 comes it will be easier.

srdoucet: you are not alone! I am 35+4days and have been feeling miserable. Had flu like symptoms yesterday, sweats, chills, super tired, drowsy, cant sleep, sit or eat like you. Then the worst came : sharp shooting pains in my chest with shortness of breath, tingling in my legs. Anyhow spend about 5 hrs in the ER today to get tested for many things. All my tests came normal, baby girl is doing fine. Dr. said its just a viral infection. She said to rest plenty and drink lots of fluids. So yes, this is all normal in pregnancy. I just feel like i'm falling apart!! So lets hang in there together, we're almost there!! :)
