I too have had really bad experiences wid dry claeners as they end up stretching my knits. The tops get wide necked and seem to fall off my shoulders...and they insist the clothes were exactly how they gave them to me...GRRRR!!! Never had much luck with refunds for damaged clothes.

La Paraire is fab. But one must keep changing your creams every six months for best results. I alternate La Prarie e with Lancome, Estee Lauder & Clarins.

I went to Kenya - Masai Mara & Lake Nakuru in January and it was great weather. We saw the big 5 and Lake Nakuru was full of flamingoes which made the lake look pink in colour. It was breathtaking. We booked thru Dnata Holidays and got a great deal. You can call them at 8008118 & ask them to send you a quotation. All the best for your holiday.

Ladies my advice is to be careful as teeth whitening does have long term damage to the enamel of the teeth. Dont do it unless u absolutely must.

I agree with the Tito comment. I think its a much cheaper nail polish than Essie & Orly. And with T&T raising their prices, who gave them the right to comprimise on quality of materials used???

I took my boys to Disneyland Paris when they were 5 & 6 and they had a blast....so i highly recommend it. We went to Disney in Hong Kong and my boys were bored out of their mind. They preferred Ocean Park in Hong Kong over Disney. So pls do not choose Hong Kong Disney. I booked our package through Dnata nad got a great deal.

Very informative thread I must say. And I agree with KB100 that time just flies when your kids are young and when they reach their teens they hardly want u around. Thats the problem I'm facing...Its important to balance your time between your kids and your spouse. Wish u all the best...

I did my Gelish at Tips n Toes on the Palm before leaving for my annual vacation & yes i agree with all the comments, it lasted very well, my nails didn't break etc. But its a pain to have to go back, spend another AED35 to get if off...but that is a must as peeling it off yourself will only damage your nails.

Tips & Toes charges AED70 for a pedicure and same for a manicure. I also prefer the one at Meadows Village though the one on Palm Jumeirah is closer to my place.

How long have u worked Lexie? its best not to act in haste as trust me you do a few days of lounging around at home, in malls etc and you will be tired of it more than your work.

I have a Nepali houseboy and yes he always prefers coming to Dubai and going to Delhi vis.a.vis Nepal. Apparently the Nepali Authority asks for bribes from these guys for letting them leave for employment overseas. I am very happy with him so I would recommend a Nepali maid as well.

Be careful girls coz I have heard horror stories of how your own hair falls out in clumps leading to permanent baldness post hair extensions. If your hair is decent I would say dont risk your locks, as there is no use looking fabulous for a few months or even years and then being bald!!!!

I love Lush too. Their Figs & leaves soap is particularly good specially if u have dry skin...they had another lovely soap called Banana Moon which they discontinued. I live in Jumeirah so happy to hear that Lush has a branch at Mercato too.
