Congratulations to all moms to be! My Due date is around December 16. I'm still trying to decide which hospital. One colleague recommended City Hospital. I haven't been there yet. I have seen Dr Jeniffer Karsirsky before and I really like her. Has anyone done the Harmony test ? I hear is recommended to all moms now, but it's definitely optional. I was not in town during the weeks they do the NT Scan, so I missed this test. I'm still considering if to do the Harmony test which is pricey or not. Any workout recommendations ? Yoga or any other particular exercise good for pregnancy? Has anyone look into the child birth classes yet ?

Thank you very much! I still have time (5 months to go) I just like to plan ahead just in case since we never know if the baby comes earlier, my sister had a premie and one of my friends had it at 7 months. I have recently gotten that book. I'm on it I just have to catch up. I will certainly look into the classes. Did you do any yoga or any particular workout that might help ? Hi and Big congratulations on what is going to be an amazing time for you! Firstly, you're not the first expecting mum to be nervous, it's a life changer but in such a good way! I would definitely get Heidi Murkoff's book, What To Expect when you're expecting' It will answer all of your questions for you. Google it as there is also a website and is broken down month by month in terms of your pregnancy and the first few years - a very helpful website. I went to Infinity Clinic for pre natal classes where they go through what you should pack, how to hold your baby, beast feeding, changing nappies etc... it's very hands on (using dolls) and also prepares you for the big day in terms of calming your anxieties. You do the class with other couples which is also re-assuring as they share your fears and questions Regarding pediatrician, I can highly recommend Dr Keith Nicholl on Al Wasl - a fantastic, warm doctor Cribs - Mamas and Papas are very good, expensive but you can buy the cot which has 4 stages and will eventually turn into a bed so you'll get 5 years use our of it! Mothercare also has a good range of all the bits you are looking for, wait until the sales to get bargains, if you have time Hope this helps a little - don't worry, I would do one thing at a time so it doesn't seem so overwhelming. Write a list of all you need and just tick them off as you go so you can see how much progress you are making - Good luck and enjoy the prep stuff rather then dreading it!

When is the migration season ? I used Ranger Safaris. I would recommend Serengeti over Tarangire...although I don't have anything bad to say about Tarangire, just that I love the vastness of the Serengeti. April is not the best time to go on safari because it's rainy season, animals spread out and they're not that easy to spot. On the other hand, you will probably find some good deals on tours since it's off-peak. I recommend going there during migration season. It's an amazing spectacle.

Thank you they both sound like a good option. What kind of music where they playing at Village Terrace ? For Italian (other cuisine on the menu too) Bice at the Hilton on the Walk, either in the restaurant on the ground floor or in Bice Skybar which has a terrace overlooking the bay. DD went recently and was very impressed with both food and service. Don't know if they have live music. Vouchers for both in the Fine Dining book. Village Terrace at Meridien near the airport is a lovely outdoor restaurant, buffet plus live cooking stations, good atmosphere, all drinks included in the price and a live band in the background.

My husband and I love cappuccinos and lattes. Also for when we have guests come over, I'll be nice to have a cappuccino machine. Can anyone recommend me one and where to get it as well. Thanks.

Thank you. I'll check it out. Hi bbarmani. I use a fantastic gynaecologist at Dubai London Clinic on Beach Road. Her name is Dr Aseel. When I went to see her, she had me booked in the next day for a procedure, very quick and makes sure you are comfortable the whole time. I don't have their number on me but if you google Dubai London Clinic you will be able to get the number.

I've been meaning to buy the tickets for Santana Concert and today I realized that VIP section is sold out. Looks like the available sections are all standing. I figure is grass. I was wondering if anyone has been to a concert in Festival Park, DFC before that can share their experience. Is it possible to sit on the grass and still watch the concert or is it too crazy ? I'm just wondering if it's worth it after all. I'm not thrilled about the standing idea. I'm used to the arena/stadium or theater concerts where everyone has their own seats. Thanks in advance.

easy... roll up to traffic at muroor on 4/2 and 25/27 up the big olde stairs... go to the front of the q as a lady they will give you a number you will need visa, passport copies, driving licence, no objection letter from sponsor, money etc.... they will send you for an eye test (sometimes) then you will have to q again get another number for the paperwork bit at the back... and bobs your uncle..... you must do this as soon as your visa is stamped in your passport otherwise you are driving illegally so you should go by other means to the licencing place etc. Thanks for the reply one more question. My Sponsor doesn't have to go with me right ?

Here is what I find out personally from the post office: Packages without PO Box, like mines are returned to the Sender the same day. In fact this is true because my mother has just advised me that the package was just received back today. I can't believe my package just went for a round trip from USA to Dubai and back in exactly 4 weeks. Lol. Anyways, now we know how it works.

Hi: Thanks for the info. It sounds pricey though. Someone I know in Abu Dhabi process hers for a lot less, I was just avoiding the trip overthere cause I figured there's got to be options here in Dubai as well. I'll keep that one in mind if I don't find any other. I know Reds in Murjan, JBR does that for 750 AED/30 days visa. I needed it for my father but he found a cheaper option in his home country.

Hi: It's from Latin America so she needs to travel wt Visa in hand otherwise they won't let her fly. Can I ask from where your mom is traveling and which airline you plan to book her on? Emirates can help you with that, and hotels will do the same. Though I doubt your grandma will stay at a hotel!

Hi: I went to see the Female Urologist in Medcare. Doctor Foroozan. She was alright. She did some tests but everything came up normal. Results showed that I no longer had an infection, but I was still feeling the burning so I went also to see a gynecologist at the american hospital, she prescribed fluconazole. I'm feeling a lot better. Have you tried checking your symptoms wt a gyno instead ? I'm also drinking parsley tea I read is good for the urinary tract. Hi bbarmani : Thank you for that. I hope you begin to feel better soon. I have just been on a course of Nitrofuratoin anti-biotics for the UTI, however, I don't think it has cleared up as yet. Not very nice to have these UTI's.

Hi: He is at the American Hospital. He is Iraqui/British. If I don't get better this week I will have to return for the Cytoscopy with him. Hi bbarmani, glad you are feeling better. I haven't heard of Dr. Shawket Alkhayal, which clinic did you see him, I would be interested to know if you don't mind. Thank you.

Thank you. Merry Christmas! It is late, so good luck finding room. But I would say try The Ivy, quintessentially British, and that is where I'd be going if I were here. Merry Christmas

Thank you. I'm certainly flexible wt the time. Merry Christmas! The Ivy and Table 9 are both excellent choices for Christmas dinner. I think both are serving from lunchtime so you might still get a table if you can be flexible with the time. edited by bbarmani on 23/12/2013

I know last minute, but we were supposed to travel, not anymore. So it's 2 adults only. We are looking for either brunch, or dinner. Whatever is available. I would prefer wt Christmas decorations or something more traditional or typical if I can find any at this point. At least we guaranteed our Christmas Eve dinner at Raffles. I've never been. What really got my attention is that it will be nicely decorated and sort of traditional christmas food. I guess I just miss Christmas at home and being surrounded by family. I'm looking forward to Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas Everybody! Lots of Blessings...

Thank you :-) KINS and sodapony for your replies. I do will watch my diet, though, I don't drink sodas or liquor, but certainly love coffee and chocolate. I went to see Dr Shawket Alkhayal last week. Have you heard of him ??? He put me on a different antibiotic for 10 days; so far I'm feeling better. Praying that the UTI doesn't return this time. Otherwise he recommended a cytoscopy. I'm hoping this will not be necessary. Thank you again sweet ladies for your reply. Have a nice day all.
