I attend a clinic behind Landmark, Lady Gynae (excellent very on the ball and was on TV recently) her 2nd in command is Dr Husam Qush who trained in Germany, he is brilliant and I'm sure either would help. His no is +974 55 699787. Will try an find number for main clinic if necessary. I am V happy with this clinic, they even did breast ultrasound.:)

Century Tailors provided fabric and copied suit she brought with her (has since lost jacket and I'm having another made, 20's huh!! ) Detailed jacket and very well copied. Will check price but remember was reasonable. Suits were in Kashmiri, well worth money and they were very particular about the fitting.;)

Tailors beside Bombay Silk is Century Tailors, they're excellent, just made shirts for DH and suit for Niece. Have also got Tux's made for DS's in Kashmir and they are really well made. Would recommend both:)

KMT Blue Peter lives on !! I actually watched a thing on youtube and you make the middle with a plastic bottle and then after its made you mix stuff in the bottle and it spurts out like lava (En sh'allah) You can use papier mache but its quicker with plaster of paris. Baffled Thank You for info, will try there tomorrow.;)

I did actually bring 1 pair of boots and have been know to wear them in Winter! I wouldn't bring too much winter stuff though, maybe clothes you can 'Layer up'. Long sleeve Tees and jeans you will definitely wear but I wouldn't bother with any heavy stuff. (It doesnt really get that cold) I know people who've bought radiators for winter and have never used them. Good Luck with the packing!!

Unfortunately DD is 15 so cartoons apart from South park and Simpsons are not her thing, (anything over 15 is blocked even free to air). Its the typical take 'Logic' and turn it upside down, now if only I could sort out the All Ireland for Sunday I'd be a happy camper. Incidentally my post was 'altered' by the BIG BROTHER, I didn't think the word I used was bad.....;)

There's a very interesting book called 'The day the world came to town' written about Newfoundland in Canada where all transatlantic aircraft were diverted to when US airspace was closed. Well worth a read.

Toast some pine nuts, get some basil, 3-5 cloves garlic, squeeze lemon juice and olive oil, salt n pepper, Blitz and stir in grated parmesan to taste. As long as you cover it with olive oil It'll keep in fridge for ages;)

Thomson1 What you really learn as an Expat is 'Saying Goodbye' and 'Hello again' to all the people that matter. ( And you'll sort them out quick enough!) I Have just returned after spending the summer at home and saying goodbye to my student sons was hard enough but saying goodbye to my elderly parents was torture. But this is what you do and your DH needs you beside him for these ventures, so deep breath and here goes another year. Hang in there;)
