A/C on the XC60 is grand, the fan is superpowerful and cools down the car rapidly (or heats it up too as we've had to do sometimes) and each side is individually controlled . Oh Happy St Patricks Day!!! Hic:)

We have a Volvo XC60 since January and we're very happy. Its a lovely comfortable car, great acceleration but most importantly the safety aspect. Call in to Jameela or Trevor near TV roundabout, they are very knowlegable about their cars. I filled it today for QR50!

You could make a batter with gluten free flour and I use beer instead of milk. The cooking will eliminate the alcohol and its a nicer lighter batter than a milk based one. If you can't get gluten free flour use rice flour or corn flour but their harder to mix. Add little at a time. Good Luck! Can he have eggs?? if so make meringues or pavlova with fruit...

Only downside that there is NO Way DH would take this baby offroad!! I'm luck I'm allowed drive it! Please God let him be the one to have the first accident/scrape/bump;) K3 Have to be honest and say that I rarely drive the car at night (I'm not allowed out after dark!) so the red lights haven't blinded me yet. Lots of friends here have bought cars that we could never have at home ie over 2litre engines as petrol has just gone to Euro1.50 per litre back home. Its the compensation for being here, Boys and their toys!!!

Hi We bought a Volvo XC60 from Jameela/Trevor at TV roundabout, they were very professional and informative about all the cars. They had new and pre-owned and good prices. We're very happy! I particularly like the little red lights at the wing mirrors that tell you theres a car in your blind spot and the car will actually brake itself if you're about to crash into something..... Yet to try that bit LOL

Nole I understand your frustration. Somedays I'm bored out of my tree!!! I find walking the Corniche gives a focus on the day (it used to take 2 hours now we have it nailed at 1.30) I would also like to volunteer my time but again am tied to flexibility so cannot commit to regular hours.;)

CCdoha I agree, a fee paying school should look for volunteers within its school ie parents ect. If I'm gonna donate my time I'd like to do it for a Charity or an organisation that cannot afford to pay. Unfortunately in my field the pay is soo poor here its not worth my time (or DH grief!) or effort working. We can always walk the Corniche!!:)

FYI, Arrived at airport Tuesday, showed official my E card and asked why I couldn't get one for my daughter (I was making the point) He explained that it was her age. So I said "see you soon darling go over and join the queue" and after a minute he opened a gate and moved her through to top of passport control. It was so nice of him!!

LOL Most important Sega to have the correct card for QDC now if I could only get the guy next door to stop playing the same song over and over again (Company compound and walls are paper thin) He's either A: Morose and recently bereft or B: He's learning the words.... Either way one more G&T and he's in trouble Ha hA;) It went on till 1am last night... DH doesn't want me to say anything though.

Well after a long day I am now in pocession of an RP and a QID and a G&T Ha ha. Mrvm, I went to imigration dept this morning and after being sent from 'Billy to Jack' I was told that I was missing a 'No Objection' letter from my husbands job. Went off and got that and returned at 3pm. In the morning we had been in Gate no 2 which was deserted in the afternoon so we were directed to gate no1. Finally after some queueing we got A TICKET number!! Not too long a wait and low and behold they processed it, charged me 100 and gave it to me. Ah the stress..... At least now I can get all the other stuff, Drivers Licence, booze, E card ect. Hope you have as much luck!!
