Think I'm quite happy at the moment (thanks to 40 days of shredding). Would love to change the skin of my face though. Have loads of tiny ugly acne scars...

That's soo funny, Frannie. I was thinking the EXACT SAME THING about DubaiCat. I was at the same breastfeeding meeting and I thought you looked AMAZING DubaiCat! Even 4 weeks after you gave birth! And you have a great personality too; you are funny and outgoing, just very nice! Don't be so hard on yourself!

Day 1 level 2 and I have never felt so unfit in my life. I was really enjoying level 1 - well, as much as I'd probably enjoy having my eyes gouged out with a blunt spoon, given that I have a pathological loathing of exercise - but I absolutely hated today. It was so hard and I gave up on more exercises than I finished. I feel fat, unfit and ugly and I am sorely tempted to go and buy a fat person wardrobe and just sit on the sofa and wallow. *skulks off to have a shower and bawl* edited by DubaiCat on 15/02/2011 Oh I know how you feel DC, it was the same for me; could't finish one single exercise and ready to give up. It gets easier really quickly, really! I am now at day 10-ish, round 2 and even doing MORE than they do (I start when they are still talking, go on for a few more after) and it feels great. (I'm the one with the six pack starting to show...)!!!

My husband loved me yesterday. He'll love me tomorrow. He doesn't love me more today. And he doesn't love me any less because he didn't take me for a meal with money we could use for something we actually want. My husband loved me yesterday. He'll love me tomorrow. AND I got a present!

He has been my Valentine for 24 years and although I have always done something special my husband says he loves me everyday and doesn't need a date on the calendar telling him to spend money and what to say and feel. I have accepted this but still each February 14th I do wish for a little something special. Today, however, all of my past disappointments have been forgotten. My unromantic husband not only made my day but my decade by posting a link to my facebook page to the amazing Freddy Mercury fronting Queen and singing 'You're my best friend'. [i'>*please google you tube clip I am at work and can't post it*[/i'> He stayed up watching the screen for when I 'liked' it and then called me and said that it might have taken him 21 years of marriage and 24 years together but he had finally found our song. I think I'll keep him :) That's lovely C!

Let me tell you guys; it's NOT your fault! It's the child's character. I have 4; 2 of them have been really good (number 1 and 3), never any tantrums, always listening. Number 2 though has driven me bananas from 18 months up to 5 1/2 years! That's 4 years!!! And I have been the same mummy to all of them. She is almost 6 now and she has changed a lot. Is really trying to be nice (although not succeeding all the time yet). Number 4 is 9 months old now and very sweet, although starting to pinch and bite now and laughing her eyes out when you scream 'OUCH'. Not ready yet to find out which way she will go...

Move closer to the school. On the roads in INdia is not a good thing. really not. So putting them in the local (international) school is not an option? We moved here 2 years ago. edited by Bianca72 on 02/02/2011

Today will be day 27 so will be 3 days behind for the February shred. And Cyclone, you ARE an inspiration. I really love the program but on days that I didn't feel like doing it, I did it anyway because it felt like you were watching me... Well done!!!

Good to know Bianca how old was your little one? Did you need to purchase a seat and were they able to store it easily? We purchased a seat, yes. But if there are empty seats next to you, you normally are allowed to use them. Our LO was 4 months (we also had a bassinet and did not use the purchased seat because she slept the whole flight).

Yes, that's what dh suggested but find it a little weird since he is MOVING away (we will follow in a couple of months)...! But don't want to just stand around for hours with 4 LO's either. Hmm... what to do?

One of us sleeps late, the other gets up with the kids, prepares breakfast. At around 9am the other gets up, we have breakfast, baby goes back to bed for about 2 hours and after that we go out; roller skating in the park, ice skating at Stargate, children's city, play at the beach, Zoo in Sharjah or Al Ain. Always followed by lunch or picnic. Sometimes we have lunch at a friends house. And every few months we have brunch at the Westin or the Address.

Hi Senorita. It's a work out DVD by Jillian Michaels called '30 day shred'. It has 3 levels and each level should be done for 10 days. It is really hard but the results are amazing. Not sure where to get the dvd (I got it from I-Tunes) but I think CycloneT can help you with that...

Hi Juzzrach, my DS also brings readers home every day. He has to read 3 a week. I just asked him about reading in class and he said they have to read out loud in the reading room every week (but not from the readers). HTH (Who are you, btw?) ;)

With apologies for not reading very much of these threads at all...have many of you started the program really overweight (15kg+) and really unfit, seen it through and survived?? I have the DVD on it's way and REALLY want to do something about my fitness, however I do need to be able to move enough to do school runs and pick up the baby. ;) LOL! You do not have to go full speed from the start; the program gives you two levels; Anita for beginners and Natalie for the more fit people. Just start slow and take your time and it will be okay.

I'm at day 20 (more or less). I skip the nights that we go out so lost track a little. Think tonight is supposed to be day 1 of level 3 but will stick to level 2 for a few more days. I love the fact that people tell me that I look fab after having 4 kids. I lost about 2,5 kilo's so far. Did not measure myself at the beginning so no idea of inches. But my clothes fit better and bought jeans size 27 last week for the first time in my life! Biggest benefit is that I feel great and that my dh is proud of me for my discipline. Will go on in February, want to do the whole thing again and after that keep it up at least 3 days a week. You are a great inspiration Cyclone!!! Thanks!

Kittens and adult cats often pad with their paws in a rhythmic fashion to "let milk down" My 4 year old cat did it on my chest then fell asleep!!! Maybe babypuss is just looking for comfort following his feed so I'd do as SueB suggests. You're his mum for the time being!!! Yes, he does that too, especially on one of my dd t-shirts so it's his now. But this is different. It's like he is looking for a way to get inside my hand. He pushes his nose into it really hard and grabs my hand with his claws and tries to climb on it, or climb around it. It really hurts, my hands are covered in tiny scratches. I just tried the hotpack and it made a bit of a difference. He was calmer and did not scratch for about 10 seconds. Then he started again. When I put him in his bed, he fell asleep right away on top of the hotpack. Normally he keeps crying until I leave the room. So that's an improvement!

I am fostering a 4 week old kitten, for a little over a week now. He is doing great, drinking milk from the bottle, started walking a few days ago, using the litter box. There is one thing I do not understand; after I fed him, he tries to climb on the bottle, using all the strength (and his really sharp nails) he has. If I put the bottle away, he pushes his nose in my hand while using his claws to climb on top of it and crying loudly. If I offer him the bottle, he refuses. There is nothing I can do to stop him, except walk away. It's almost impossible to play with him or cuddle because of this. Does someone know why is does this?

I understand that there are quite a few ladies who have recently received copies ;) It would be great to know what those ladies and the ladies who have posted already think of the program and any improvements noticed so far. Also what are you doing to keep your motivation up and if you have a reward planned when you have achieved all 30 days. On day 11 now (skipped yesterday due to a girls night out). Started level 2 on day 5 because level 1 was going really well. Feel the same as you, it's hard but easier than I thought. And still getting easier every day. Am able to do all exercises and complete them. Lost 1 kg in 5 days but after that, gained it again (not sure why, not eating more). This morning the kilo was gone again!?! The fact that it is 'only' 20 minutes keeps me going. I feel great afterwards and am looking forward to getting to my ideal weight. Will reward myself with some new jeans at the end!

Jumeriah Jane you were answering..... yes to "too late" or yes to "he will still be able to" :) yes you can move into a later year but note most schools here go by sept 1 or 15 for age cut off dates not December. So your son would be going into FS2 next year if you went to a BC school here not year 1. There are more and more places appearing, panic not. If he turned 4 last month and you want to keep him at the same school for kg2 next year, he will turn 6 at the british school the year after which will mean he will go into year 1 (which I don't understand, I thought kg2 was equivalent to year 1)...
