Have not been to Radisson yet, but Crown Plaza has a huge pool, will lots of pool parties and the famous Stills Restaurant and Bar. Many other restaurants as well

Saw a Prof Zimmerman at the German Medical Clinic, Dubai Health Care Center, as we were not happy of the opinions received from those here in Abu Dhabi. He was excellent, but due to the high costs to have the op done in Dubai, DH had it done in Germany.

DH needs to find a place which sells clock works (the mechanical clock) and the clock face in order to build his own clock. He tried various watch houses both here in AUH and Dubai but without success. Any help will be appreciated.

Aloft Hotel is within walking distance. Others would be Shangri La or Fairmont, about 5 minutes driving from there

The airport has long term parking facilities, but not known if this is covered parking. As mentioned already they had a special for Skyparking, which was under cover parking. Just go on the website of Abu Dhabi International Airport to find their contact details http://www.abudhabiairport.ae/english/to-and-from-the-airport/information/parking.aspx

Our daughter had her veins removed by Dr Sobeh, located in DHCC (dr Sobeh's clinic). What a brilliant guy. He maintains a practise in Dubai and London. You can search this site for more recommendations on him. <em>edited by blokkop on 20/06/2011</em>

It works for us, but depends what type of connection you have on the other side. Ours is rather poor as back home the connection speed it rather slow

The Falcon Hopsital in Abu Dhabi also has kennels for cats. Our friends makes use of them and they are much cheaper

We can only agree with the others on Dr Sobeh. He is simply the best. Our daughter had a similar op (laser) but more complicated. She got the best after surgery treatment, even whilst he was in the UK. He even delayed his flight by one day to see her before she left back home. <em>edited by blokkop on 11/05/2011</em>

We went to the German Medical Center in Dubai. They had a visting orthopedic surgeon from Germany who was really good. But to our dismay, we found out that the surgical procedure here in Dubai would be 5 times more expensive than the one in Germany.
