My DS is 30 and works as an architect in Dubai. He would love to have a relationship but has no plans to remain in Dubai longterm. He loves the outdoor life and is currently running a local Scout troop. Biased I know, but he is a lovely guy!! Any chance you want to play matchmaker JoyceB? I'm also 30 and looking for a lovely guy, your son sounds like a gem :)

We recently stayed overnight at the Melia hotel, cost 380aed for the night with breakfast included and we had 2 full days at the pool. Was really quiet and they have a lovely spa too.

Maybe try https://www.airbnb.com or else hotel apartment, depending on your location you could get a relatively good deal.
