Dear all I'm having problems finding ex-pat travel insurance which includes pre-existing medical conditions. My husband has a heart condition which is controlled on medication. His cardiologist has discharged him as he is stable, but I am having a lot of trouble finding travel insurance which will cover this. Can anyone recommend anywhere to try? Many thanks, :)

Hi, Apologies as I wasn't very clear...the visa is for me as my husband already has his. I spoke to the PRO today and she has given me a confusing story, asking me to go to a typing centre (in Dubai) with a copy of my passport showing my visa entry stamp to get a change of status, then my husband will complete a form after which I need to return to the typing centre again for another form and from then on go for a medical after I have got a residency stamp. When I queried whether this was something that my husband needed to do she got confused. That makes two of us. I need to do this in Dubai as that is where my husband's residency is.

Thanks to everyone who replied. Have ordered two today from Cara for 220 AED for the pair. Very friendly and helpful ?. Even made me a coffee while the gentleman went and sorted out a query!

Not fathomed out the process of sending private emails (probably very simple once I look). Will look later and get in touch. Low on battery and need to recharge (story of my life :))
