I have always used silver swan Thai rice and I am happy with it. Recently noticed golden swan on the shelves. What is the difference between the two? Just curious ! ;)

BTW - those who do not have these spirited children will probably just tell you that your child is naughty - why? because they don't understand because they don't live with the pressures of raising such a child... oh how often did I get jealous when I saw a young toddler sitting their quietly while Mum did this and that... Best of luck to you... Of course, plenty of children aren't "spirited", they're just brats thanks to poor parenting. We see plenty of those round Dubai. They're often from families where Daddy spends a lot of time away, Mummy spends too little time being a Mummy, and the maid does everything else. These kids have rarely heard the word "no" and they know from experience that Mummy will always cave to tantrums because it's the easy route to a quiet life for her. How do you tell the difference between the brats and the "spirited" children? WOW could BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE more judgemental?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!

MY 8 year old niece and I both love to sing. I am single and she is the apple of my eye:) I love spending time with her and this could be quality time for both of us, even if it is in seperate classes:) She loves to perform so a group that will use her for performances later is ideal! Thank you in advance for your recommendations..... its past wine o clock for moi so forgive my spelling mistakes:))))

oh this happens to me all the time. usually when i am very stressed. i think i have associated an old boyfreind with stress so whenever i am really stressed i dream about him. its exactly as you describe the intsense feelings and the weirdness the next day. and my ex was an alcoholic freakazoid! and i certainly have no feelings for him at all. i talk to DH about it though, and when im very stressed he often even asks if i have dreamt about the ex yet :) so dont worry about it, it doesnt actually mean anything at all. hth Thanks

Nothing excites me, nothing makes me happy, I don't look forward to anything....:( You're my teenaged daughter. Sorry I'm such a lousy mother.. Seriously, can you tell us what is going on? Did something happen to kick off these feelings, or have you been this way for no apparent reason for a long time? Oh no! Porr girl. This is a terrible feeling for a teenager. Honeslty its for no apparent reason no of my circumstances have changed. I have been feeling this way for a couple of months now. PLease get her all the help she needs. Its really not fair for a teenager to be feeling what I am feeliing! Too young!

I am only asking for friendly advice. Are you new to Dubai? If you have an alcohol license, you are fine. Just let the guests know that you have a range of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages available. edited by brokenheart on 17/02/2011

Do you think it is acceptable for me to go to the malls with a sleeveless dress on and how short can I go in length? I love my minis, and want to make the most of my time with decent looking legs. No that is not ok in the middle east, some may do it but not advisable, wear sleeves and below the knee skirt length unless you want to face some jail time as a hooker. Hahaha god you are blunt!

There are decency laws in Dubai (although not really enforced) but there are signs on all the malls stating that you should be dressed properly. Personally, think your shoulders and knees should be covered. (although i did see a woman in Dubai Mall the other day who i think forgot to put her trousers on) Like like like

You may look overdressed ( as in wearing too much) in some of the malls.

Oh FFS!! It's her choice she does not want her child to speak English with an Indian accent!! Is it ok to want to learn Italian with an Italan accent? Would it have been racist if the mother did not want her child to learn Italian with a French accent? Gawwwwwwd!

What if you help and tutor friend's children on a regular basis for free? If the authorities starts questioning, how can one prove that you are not getting paid?
