A mirror is really helpful so that you'll be able to see LO in the rear facing seat. You'll be fine. :)

You poor thing! Tension headaches can often go on for days so it could be nothing to worry about but insist that your Doctor take it seriously. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks all. I had a total about turn after reading lots of very negative reviews on the Luna Mix. So far I really like the Mothercare Xtreme! :)

Good to know, thanks. Still, I really want a single handle and something sturdy that I can load up with bags. Anyone?

Yep, absolutely outstanding film!! I thought The Social Network was fantastic too! I was on a roll with good films after watching 'Exit through the Gift Shop' aswell but we've just come back from the cinema and it's all gone horribly wrong. 'The Green Hornet' is ****** awful, avoid it like the plague!!

I think the owner of the Limetree Cafe is Coeliac so there is always at least one gluten free cake on offer.

I've never boiled bottled water for my LO as it's sterile anyway, I think! Masafi is good as it has a reasonably low sodium content and BPA free plastic bottles for the dispenser.

I can't help with your request I'm afraid but I'm happy to lend you 'Stand & Deliver' by Emma Mahony - I thought it was brilliant! I can't imagine anyone advocating a drug free birth for the sake of it. The point is that taking drugs can inhibit some of the bodies natural responses which makes other (possibly painful and/or traumatic) interventions far more likely. I'm sure you'll find that things are more manageable second (and third!) time around.

Absolutely not. In your position I would expect to get a rent reduction and have any repairs done too. The worst that will happen is that you'll have to compensate the LL for any notice that you didn't give but if the notice period was changed without your knowledge then you could argue this point. If it does become a dispute I think the timing of the agent lends weight to your case. Best of luck.

Personally, I think you have to go a little further afield. DS is at Children's Oasis (Al Thanya Road, behind the Burj) and we really like it. They have a lovely nursery room for young babies.

I don't have a great deal of sympathy, and I'm afraid I am judging you. I was a heavy smoker but stopped on the day I found out I was pregnant. Honestly, I felt miserable and depressed for the first week but it passed and it felt great to know that I wasn't poisoning myself or my baby anymore. Try reading Alan Carr.

Jebel Ali Church Playgroup is really nice. It runs from 09.30 - 11.30 on Sun, Mon & Tue mornings. There are loads of lovely toys and Mums and for 15 AED you even get a coffee! Let me know if you need further info or directions.

Welcome! Can't help with 1. 2. I can recommend Children's Oasis as DS is currently there and DD will be going too. 3. Entry level places in all schools here are oversubscribed so you need to get her on the wait list as soon as possible for a start in September 2012 (the academic year that she turns 5). 4. Lakes is nice too, or Garden View Villas in Jebel Ali. Hope your move goes well. :)

Sorry to hear that Poppy82. I wholeheartedly sympathise!! Do whatever it takes to create a safe, baby proof area for play. Move furniture, buy gates, soft cushions etc. It's a great investment as things will get much worse before they get better! It's so hard when they don't sleep well in the day. Can you work on trying to improve the napping? Hope things get easier for you soon. x
