Thanks guys, I will check out those options, particularly the Elements one at Alserkal as I've always fancied taking a look around there. Little Miss, I am assuming its the one called "This is Not a Buffet"?. If so, could be just what I was looking for. Will keep you updated

Thank you so much ladies for your comments and suggestions. We won't be moving school as DESS is one of the best British schools here and he is doing really well. Secondly we will not be moving from JBR as my son loves the beach and he is able to play there almost every day. It is awesome that we can provide him with this kind of lifestyle. As for the commute, the 2 hour round trip would be for the nanny and driver, not for my son as my husband leaves home at 7am and they are usually parked up outside school by 7.35. The two of them get a really good chance to chat in the mornings without the distraction of electronic gadgets etc. Most parents I spoke to this weekend who live closer, spend 15 - 20 mins just trying to get out of their communities in Midiff or Arabian Ranches. Commute home is also almost the same so to be honest we are not concerned about this, particularly as he also takes a little snooze on the way home. Like I said however, I do appreciate the time you have taken to respond. Re my actual issue, we've looked into a few options now. Not many parents from the Marina with the same finish time as him so it's not really an option. We have interviewed and found a driver but the monthly cost is 3800 plus annual visa/ medical etc. We have also found a company called Dial a Driver. Whilst the name leaves a lot to be desired, they will send the same driver to us everyday, pick up our maid and car (with our own ready installed car seat), do the school pick up and drop back home. This service will cost about AED2000 per month. Whilst having a full time driver would be really convenient etc i'm not sure we would make full use of him. Does anybody else have a driver and if so, do you make full use of him? Many thanks

would you be open to a catered option at home? we've used a lovely little restaurant in sharjah to do indo/pak bbq grill live stations and their prices seem reasonable enough... let me know if u need any more info on this... plus being grilled items felt like it was healthy too... though the amount we ended up eating wasn't that healthy !! ;) Thanks but we live in an apartment in JBR so won't be able to accommodate. Sounds like a great option otherwise though!

Dr Mascha Lindemann at Health Bay Polyclinic Motor City. She's German board qualified and is so amazing with our 3 year old son and baby. We've been seeing her since 2012 at her previous clinic and moved with her. Many others have too. Doesn't prescribe antibiotics first off etc, will try some natural remedies before heading down the medication route. Also available on watsapp for follow up questions etc.

Thanks ladies We both work in the downtown area so we are able to do the drop off in the morning. He's just about to finish FS1 there and is so settled. He loves the school, as do we. Moving schools is not really an option for us but I will contact the RTA and find out what they provide.
