Just because Sharjah is dry does not mean you cannot get a permit. We did, for two years running, by the Sharjah police. We lived and worked in Sharjah.

Sorry to bother you. I am planning to relocate to Sharjah next month, but I had no idea that Alcohol license are provided by Sharjah Police. currently I am having Dubai License since 2006 but the shops, where I renew my license said that Sharjah is dry hence they don't provide license. Would you be kind enough to explain how to obtain an Alcohol license in Sharjah. Do we visit the Sharjah local police station along with our visa, rent contract? how much is the fees?
