Just back from BBW @ MOE. Bought several large candles for 22aed each, others for 45. The smaller candles were 10 and up. A few of the shower gel scents were 10aed, lotions around 30. Hand Soaps were 20. Wallflowers varied in price some as low as 6 dirhams. I'll check back on a Friday as they often put everything 75% off...Happy shopping

If you're referring to the big sale they do twice a year, I asked in the MOE branch, and they said anytime this month or July which is not very helpful. I know the one in the states starts June 12th so perhaps around then. Can't wait to get my hands on some discounted candles!

I'm in Tecom and we get charged a housing fee. Like others posted it's 5% of annual rent paid monthly.

I've seen tutorials on youtube. Apparently you can also cut the top of a sock roll it a bit and use that too. Search sock bun tutorials on youtube, same concept (:

Someone once posted this link http://matrix.itasoftware.com/ I think it's great although you can't book your flight on the site, it just shows rates. I usually then go to orbitz or expedia to book tickets.

Love the hot chocolate from Butler's chocolate cafe, it's in Sahara Centre, Sharjah though. I also like Leonidas in Ibn Battuta!

From what I understand, Brody always had it in for the VP because he gave the order to bomb the school Isa was in, whom he cared for deeply.

Hello, DH bought a countertop dishwasher from E-Max recently (brand is Midea I think). It doesn't hold too many dishes (one large pot would take up the entire space inside) and it needs to be run on the longest cycle for the dishes to come out really clean regardless if the dishes are only slightly soiled. Perhaps there's a better brand out there? ETA: Our apartment doesn't have a separate water hook-up for a dishwasher so we asked the installation guys to bring a two-way splitter that is shared with the washing machine edited by caligurl on 29/01/2012 edited by caligurl on 29/01/2012

Hi OP, I've used this homemade rice a roni recipe several times and it tastes just like it! HTH Serves 6, Prep: 5 min, Cook: 15 min * ¾ cup long grain white rice * ½ cup small pasta shape (I use small vermicelli noodles) * 1-3 tbsp butter, depends how much fat you want * 14 oz low sodium chicken broth * 1 tsp low sodium chicken base * 1 tsp dried parsley flakes * ½ tsp garlic powder * salt and pepper to taste 1. Melt the butter in a pan and saute the rice and pasta until lightly browned. 2. Add the chicken broth, base, parsley and garlic. Add any other seasonings if you would like. 3. Bring to a boil and cover, then reduce heat to low. Cook 15 minutes without lifting lid. 4. After 15 minutes check to see if all liquid has been absorbed and fluff rice with a fork. If the rice is tender but it is still a little wet just let it sit on low with the lid off for a few minutes.

I love Nars but everytime I want something they are out of stock which I hate. I found that to be a problem here too! I always have to stock up when I visit the states (:

I'm a make-up addict from way back! he he My faves at the moment are Nars and Make up for Ever brands. Nars has a lovely foundation called Sheer Glow and Chanel's ProLumiere is really good too if you're looking for a slightly dewy finish. MAC is good for eyeshadows and pencils, great range of colors. For blush, can't go wrong with Nars. :) edited by caligurl on 13/01/2011

The men I dated before I got married all insisted on paying even though I offered. DH is the same way, still doesn't let me touch the bill even though our money comes out of the same account! abbyboot, I think your BF likes to treat you and enjoys your company, if he thought you were selfish by not offering he prob would have dumped you long ago :) Have fun!

I second the Big Bus Tour as they hit all the major spots like O'Connel st, Grafton St, Temple Bar, Stephens Green, St Patricks Cathedral, Trinity College etc. Stephens Green is a good central area to stay as it's close to lots of shops and restaurants all within walking distance. Plus, it's close to the LUAS and loads of buses so you can get around easily. Ballsbridge is a nice area as well, I would say stay south of the Liffey River. Have fun! We lived there for 2 years before we moved to Dubai and really enjoyed it.
