Hi, I too was in a similar position a couple of years ago and it can be very hard to know which decision is best. I don't know anything about conceive in JLT, we used a clinic in healthcare city. The procedure itself is relatively straightforward. This is what I went through... After meeting with the doctor and establishing dates, you will start on your hormone injections. After a few days of injections your will go for ultrasound every other day. Then after about two weeks of injections, they will do an egg collection. For this, they will take you to theatre and extract the eggs when you are asleep. On the same day, your husband will be asked to provide a sample. They may do this surgically depending on his count. They will let you know how many eggs before you leave. Then after about 3-5 days you return for the embryo transfer which is very very straightforward, no pain, nothing. In 14 days, you return for a blood test to see if you are pregnant. I think the cost for us from start to finish was AED35,000. This will vary for everyone because you pay for the drugs and the procedures as and when you need them. Some will need more or less than others! I wish you all the best. If I can help you with anymore information, please let me know. Hallo cruiseaddict Thank you so much for your reply. Which doctor did you use at healthcare city? And how many cycles did it take for you? Were you successful? I used Dr Wael and thought he was lovely. Dr Mohammad also comes highly recommended. We did two cycles - one unsuccessful, the other we lost at 8 weeks. this was heartbreaking, getting so far, but still not far enough! There are lots of success stories though so think positive in your approach! When are you thinking of starting treatment? Oooh ok. I wish to start later this year. I have seen good recommendations for Fakih and Conceive clinic. If you are still interested in trying again you could read up on them and we can exchange notes ?
