I began the application for home status for my daughter but in the end she went as an' International Student'. Every week I was asked for something else to send back to UK ( they wouldn't take scanned copies) eg. copies of entrance and exit stamps in her passport since birth, copies of bills from the house etc. A good start is to have their National Insurance number. I also think that it has alot to do with the type of employment contract that you have.

I completed this course over 10 years ago. The communication and course material were excellent. I had no teaching experience so helped out in a Nursery for a year across the different age groups.

I have had my Tiguan for 2 years and it has been very reliable. A/C in the back is good. Plenty of room and has a bit of power when required. VW service is good.

My daughter has just finished her SL mathematics and found it challenging. IGSE does not prepare them adequately. She too has had to hand in her text book. I subscribed to Mathsnet that was very useful. Many of her friends went to Knowledge Village for tutoring. There is the option of math studies but you need to check if the chosen university course accepts it.

I used a large white linen table cloth for our last party but need to get something bigger for a school party. I am going to go to Photoworld - Dubai at the Trade Centre to have a look for a bigger one.

My daughter just past her test. The lessons were 30 minutes each so she did 2 lessons and 4 lessons together over 3 weeks. She had the 'yard' test and then an internal driving assessment before the RTA test. She went to Al Ahli in Al Quoz who were very organised and the instructor was good. There was alot of counter swopping but once you knew the routinue and took the correct ticket it was OK. Good Luck

Both of my daughters have prom this year. Any recommendations would be really helpful. Is Satwa the best place for fabric or Bur Dubai?

I have two teenage girls, 15 and 17. We have been on Savannah since it was handed over and I don't think that they have spoken to any other children on Savannah. Alot of their friends are on the Ranches but different areas - Saheel, Mirador, Al Reem. They tend to have alot of after school activities and then go to the Mall or parties at the weekend. Once settled into school you will find that your children will make friends scattered around Dubai.

My daughter told me the same thing. Her friend had her sun lotion and a pen taken from her when they went into the grandstand. We are taking the minimum today.

We have 2 Friday Friends tickets for Kylie. Will there be parking by the DU arena, similar to Britney last year, or will we need to catch the bus from the free public parking area? I have been looking online for guidance but no luck. Thanks.

We have just come back from California - had a great time in LA and San Diego. The first rental car had GPS but the second one didnot so we bought one - a must if you are travelling and trying to locate hotels and attractions. Old Town, San Diego was a great Mexican food area.

Try upstairs in LuLu. They have elastic on the boards and I have seen bundles of the cord like elastic on the bottom shelf. Union co-op also have thin elastic.
