Hi Mrs W, I'm moving to Qatar in August and my son will be joining Qatar International School. I've done my research and the feedback I've got is good - staffed with UK teachers and follows UK curriculum. It's a big school, about 1,600 students, mixed nationalities.
Many thanks Lori, I saw there was a Virgin megastore in Doha, so they must stock the usual games. My son likes to pre-order some of the new stuff, though, so maybe I will set up an Aramex account. I've also looked into the vpn too - we've enjoyed using Netflix.

Many thanks DebK, I was wondering why I had been recommended to use a shipping service when I could use the PO Box number of my employer. I use Amazon a lot in the UK because I work full time and it's easy ordering stuff over the internet.
For those of you with older kids - my son has an XBox and we get games for it from Amazon mostly - he wants to know if he will still be able to get new games when we go to Qatar. He also has asked me if he will still be able to watch TV like Sky in Qatar and get netflix.com on his laptop - can anybody help me here?
I'm a teacher moving to Qatar later this summer, and it's my understanding that schools shut down for the summer months at the end of June. The expat teachers get tickets home, so I would think it's very unlikely you will get to talk to anybody useful in July - I was also under the impression that it's not a nice time to visit Qatar too. Why not try and arrange a visit for this month when the schools are open?
