Took a cat in off the street 4 years ago and put up with all his fighting then. Abcesses etc you name it (cost us a fortune in the vets) We even had blood tests to see if he had too much testosterone but it came back negative. We took a second cat in and although cat 1 wasn't happy he managed to put up with him and cat 2 just ignored him. When we took the 3rd cat in, again it didn't seem too bad (manageable). I tried to rehome the first cat to someone who had an apartment as the fighting was getting too much and annoying neighbours and he seemed to be looking for another home. Only coming in for food etc. After a few months he went missing and the harmony in the house was much better although I was quite upset as I didn't know what had happened to him and had no closure. A stray cat appeared 7 months after the first cat went missing. We have two catflaps so he would come in, help himself to the food and had sprayed all over the house and garden so I trapped, neutered and released him only for him to come back again so I was locking the catflaps which disgruntled the other two cats. Cat 2 began fighting the stray and it was mayhem. 9 months after the first cat went missing he was found in silicon oasis (we live in the springs). He was skinny, undernourished but alive. I put him in a room for a few days and he didn't complain so I thought his fighting days were behind him. He seemed gentle and fragile. A week later he returned to normal and started fighting the stray coming back with cuts, bites and scratches but after about two weeks he started attacking the Cat3. I came home one evening to find her in her box, hair missing, a few scratches and she didn't move or eat for two days. She is now petrified of him and whenever she sees him, she yowls and runs and he runs after her ready for a fight. I have had to intervene so many times, spraying him and locking him outside for a while. I worry when I am not home and try to lock either him or her in a room until I am home. It's a major problem and worse, I am going away for 3 weeks and someone has agreed to feed the cats but I cannot have him here so I thought of putting him in a cattery. The catteries he has stayed at before says he screams loudly for the whole duration he is there and one of them even said he was not welcome back! My family and friends call him the 'psycho' cat and have suggested putting him down but how can you put a healthy cat down because he is fighting for his territory. I have spoken to quite a few people about his behaviour but to no avail & I have been told by professionals to put him down too. I was wondering does anyone know a farm where he could be fed and have shelter as I am pulling my hair out with stress with all the fights and although I have rehomed the stray cat only a few doors away, he still comes back here and there is still alot of fighting but more upsetting are the attacks on the Cat3. Please help TIA <em>edited by catmad on 15/07/2012</em>

either way, if the dog has been removed from the springs/meadows area and the owner has lost the dog at least they will know where it's gone. If the poor thing has been abandoned then someone may want to adopt him/her.

have you confrtonted her? Why don't you ask her where she took the cat or else you will go to the police! I have my suspicions about my neighbours when my cat went missing and was found 9 months later in Silicon Oasis (we live in the springs) but I don't have any proof but if someone saw them I would definately confront them!!!

ah I see, sorry. Yes it's probably the same one. He has the same colouring as pat except he has more white on him. I have just got a pic of him and posted it on dubizzle and expat echo but the dubizzle pics wont be live for 24hrs I don't think. Maybe I could put some pics on picassa or something else.

Hi JS It's not Pat, it's another poor unfortunate cat who is desperate for a home! He isn't microchipped and I have just had him castrated! So I'm not quite sure if he was someone's cat or not but he is very friendly. I will get some pics today:)

The update on this tabby is that he is quite friendly and desperately needs a home. He just wants to come in a lie down and be petted. I can't look after him. I have 3 already. Can someone foster him for a while and I will see if I can permanently rehome him? Or I may take him to the vets and have him put down as I can't stand the screams each night and I don't want him to get hurt anymore. He doesn;t want to fight but my cats are protecting their territory. My DH has managed to stroke him and he says he is adorable but I don't want to get emotionally attached to him as, not only can we not take him as we have too many but my cats wont accept him. He is a young adult and not sure of his real age. I will try and get a pic but I am desperate to find him a home. Please consider him, he would make a lovely pet. TIA

So sorry you have lost your pet but mine has gone missing twice. Once for 8 days and the other for 9 months and because of his microchip he was found by very kind people. Is he Chipped? You seem to be doing all the right things. Advertise on as many lost/found websites and just keep up the faith! Good Luck!

a candle! which would come in handy if it was night time but unfortunately the lighter is nowhere to be seen so I would have to say the smell of the candle could perhaps keep me calm - NOT!

Thanks Irooni! I am delighted he is back, the other cats & Topsy are not! They are a bit stressed and so is Topsy unfortunately. I'm having to lock one door, open another etc so now I am stressed. They don't k know each other any more & the second cat is now Top Cat in the area and will vie for that position so it's all guns ablazing at the moment. Still I'm thankful to your friend for finding him and taking the time to take him to the vets. The worst thing when he went missing was wondering if he was ok and if he did die, was it a peaceful ending etc. Now i know he was out there just looking for a home and food. He's not a happy chappy especially as the other two cats are very settled here so I'm happy to work with him and try to reunite them again (don't think that will ever happen though). He can't be rehomed as he is a very troubled cat and can be very agressive and I wouldn't put that on anyone unless some special person came forward (doubt that too). We will just see what happens. I just hope they don't end up fighting each other as I will have to make some decisions about the situation so watch this space .................!;)

Topsy was found in Silicon Oasis yesterday, taken to the vets by a very kind lady and I took him home last night! He is undernourished & dehydrated & a bit bewildered! He has been sleeping & eating since yesterday evening and looks quite scrawny! But hey! What a traveller! The Springs to Silicon Oasis & back again! I'm not sure at this point how is going to get on with the other two cats! He didn't like them in the first place but now he has been away since May 2011, I may have a BIG problem on my hands but will keep him in the bathroom upstairs for a while! He has already started hissing & growling at the door! It just goes to show anyone who has lost a an animal that after all this time, he was still alive!

Good news! Mother is still with them. He said he is willing to take the 3 kittens but not the mother but he can't take them for at least 6-8 weeks as he will be living in temporary accommodation until he finds a permanent home himself. So I am going to post a thread looking for foster care!

I don't know where the mother is as he said he was feeding them regularly. I told him to take them to a vet ASAP. But I only received the FB message a while ago then I posted on here. There seems to be 4 guys living in the house and they are due to move out. That's all I know but I will investigate further. Poor kitties!

I have just had an email from a guy who had 4 kittens born in his garage. One got killed unfortunately by another cat so there are now 3 to be rehomed. He is moving out in a few days and cannot take them with him. I have asked him to send pics etc to me so I can post them. He has no experience with cats and hasn't taken them to the vets as yet. I don't know him personally but he works with a friend of mine and she gave him my details. So if you know of anyone or indeed you want either 1, 2 or 3 kittens he would be forever grateful! I know there are a lot of threads on here with people needing their cats rehomed but these kittens will be abandoned in the next few days unless someone is interested. Please help! TIA

thanks js & chocs. We haven't heard anything unfortunately. I am very suspicious about them too. I wish there were CCTV cameras around the springs and could catch them. I was there the day they tried to knock him over. Of course they said they were just joking so what could i do. She had threatened to take him to the desert before and who knows what she could do but I don't have any proof unfortunately. i hope she is on this forum and is reading these threads, and if she has done anything well...............!!!!

I have put a posting on FF site and contacted the vets. We keep him in most nights but not until 11.30 ish. The only time we don't keep him in is if he doesn't come when called or we go out for the night. We have a catflap so he just comes in for food. He got really P.Off when we took on a kitten 18 months ago and in January but he still came home. The worse thing for any cat owner whose cat goes missing is the unknown. I just hope he has gone on a wander but that's not like him. It's driving me nuts!

Hi JS, yes it's him, sadly! Although he doesn't like the other two cats, he still comes home for food, although he probably goes looking elsewhere too. He went missing 2 years ago and a kind couple took him in and they lived opposite the Burj Al Arab so either someone took him away from here or he ended up in someones car/truck. However I still don't trust the neighbours I was telling you about and I am very suspicious of them as they 'hate' him & remember I told you they tried to knock him over and recently my DH caught the wife trying to hit my other cat with a broom from a few houses away from hers!!! I know he fights but he has been with us for over 3 years now and we have put up with all his adventures, tantrums etc but we miss him!

Friendly kitten walked into our house the other night and has taken residence in our bathroom. Took her to vets today. No microchip. We had her dewormed & health checked. Willpost some pics if interested. She is very friendly & playful. She uses her litter tray & likes to snuggle & sit on your shoulder. Already have 2 cats so we cannot keep her. Anyone?..............

We have ANOTHER guest at the 'Cats R US' home lol. Maxwell (B&W) cat only just fostered & is still looking for a forever home and now we have a little itty bitty kitten who is sssoooooo Cute! Don't know if she is someone's kitten but I will take her to the vets tomorrow and have her checked out. Does anyone want a cute kitten? Or has anyone lost a kitten since yesterday?
